A workshop that focused on providing college students with information about staying healthy was held Wednesday in the Union.
Sophomore social work major Janae Schick, who serves as the director of the Women’s Center, said that she hoped the event would provide students with some advice on how to beat the unhealthy temptations of college.

In an effort to improve body image awareness among students, a resource fair was held in the Union Wednesday.
“Eating disorders are a big problem,” Body Image Awareness Week committee member Kristin McTrigue said. “Obesity and obesity prevention are important, but what we are focusing on is increasing physical activity and healthy eating choices—looking at a lifestyle change instead of dieting.”

Students met an English 20th century writer Tuesday night—or at least an impression of one. The impersonator even dressed in costume and held a cigar in his mouth.

John “Chuck” Chalberg in “An Evening With G.K. Chesterton” spoke Tuesday night in the Union as G.K. Chesterton. Chalberg travels all over the United States, entertaining audiences with his impersonations of American and British historical figures.

ASUW is working to reinforce an existing regulation that does not allow smoking within 15 feet of campus buildings.
“We were asked by numerous students to consider this,” Sen. Noah Hull said. “At this point, we are merely in the phase of information gathering as the UniReg has been in place for a number of years.”
The regulation, UniReg 2-180, has been in place since 2008 but has not been well enforced.

A world-renowned jazz innovator, trombonist, seashellist and a member of the SNL band preformed with the Wyoming Jazz Ensemble Thursday night in the Arts and Science Auditorium.
Steve Turre is best known for playing in the Saturday Night Live band. Turre has been a member of “The Live Band” since 1984.
