Populated with a large number of older audience members, the crowd still had plenty of students who showed their support, and in most cases, dispute of Coulter.
Whether seen as belligerent or provocative, Ann Coulter, a Republican political analyst and commentator, was invited to UW to give a speech titled “Why the liberals are wrong about everything!”

About 30 students attended an hour-long debate between two parties running for next year's ASUW presidential and vice presidential seats.
Presidential candidates Megan Degenfelder and Alex Sullivan-Brink along with vice presidential candidates Ty McNamee and Jaryd Unangst fielded questions from the ASUW election committees and from attending students.
Candidates were asked question regarding: different programs and services ASUW administers, their future strategies targeted at diligently representing UW students, the goals they have toward forming a strong relationship between the different campus RSO’s, a hypothetical question about what to do if they were given $5 million to spend as student government, and their view on smoking and health and safety related issues.

Betsy Goudey addressed issues of credit, contracts and underage drinking during a student right’s workshop sponsored by Multicultural Affairs.
Goudey talked about dealing with credit scores and signing contracts, saying, “This is scary stuff."
"So often, students who move off campus sign leases and contracts that they barely even look over, and there are some landlords that will take advantage of that," Goudey said.
The goal of the workshop was to stress to students the importance of being consciously aware of constitutional rights as citizens of the United States.
