2,000 laboratories in the country

Water is a natural resource that is becoming scarce these days. If we continue to waste water like this our future generations will not be able to use even a single drop of water. In the rural areas, the condition seems to be worse as people are not getting even water to drink. To overcome this problem the government is taking steps to provide at least a minimal amount of water in rural households. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a vision and also has a mission of provision of potable tap water supply in adequate quantity. As the government is moving forward with a great momentum that it has aimed to provide the water supply by 2024 in every rural household. The government is taking various measures and steps to preserve water and supply water in the areas where there is immense scarcity of water. These laboratories will bring the fresh water in the country.

2,000 laboratories in the country

In order to provide drinking water to every rural households the government have opened up about 2,000 laboratories across country to General public for testing their their water samples at a nominal rate. The official have collected all water samples and the water quality testing reports are generated online and sent to the citizen along with a copy to concerned public health engineer for immediate corrective action. All these laboratories will have to be accredited by the National Accreditation Board of Testing and Calibration Laboratories. It will also allow the public to get their samples of water tested to know if ghe water water quality is good or not.

Water testing standards in the country

The Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has informed about the uniform testing of water standards in the country. Though the standards are not up to the standards also there seems to be adquacy problem in the testing. Now with the introduction of such laboratories the problems will get resolved. This will allow the citizens to have fresh drinking water in their households.

Online portal on Water Quality Information

The Union Jal Shakti Minister has also launched an online portal for Water Quality Information Management System. This is a proper database where laboratories in the country will be registered and mapped.
