Not so recently, Nokia has been licensing and expanding its branding to various firms. The latest company to sign such a deal with the Finnish company is Stream View GmbH. This Australian company has now evolved itself to become the official Nokia brand licensee to start selling set-up boxes, smart TVs and DAB+ radios in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. The first ever product from this company is called the Nokia Streaming Box 8000, manufactured by the infamous SEI Robotics. It is confirmed that the device will be available for purchase just few days before Christmas.
Nokia Streaming Box 8000’s Fancy Features
This Streaming Box has more specs that any other regular streaming devices that are available for sale in the market. It is powered by a quad-core Amlogic S905X3 chipset with 4 x ARM Cortex-A55 cores and ARM Mali-G31 MP2GPU. Unfortunately, the amount of RAM is not mentioned at the moment but we expect it to be no less than the usual 2 GB. This streaming device also assess a dual band WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2 along with a wide variety of ports like USB Type-C, USB 3.0 Type A, Ethernet, optical audio, HDMI, AV and DC power-in. Most interestingly, the new Nokia-branded streaming device runs Android TV 10 operating system and will ship with Netflix and Amazon Prime Video pre-installed. Whereas, other popular and famed streaming apps such as Disney+ can be easily installed from the Google Play Store. To the customer’s joy, the set-top comes with Chromecast Built-in and a Google Assistant remote control with a plethora of keys like a traditional television remote control.
Streaming Box 8000 Price and Product Release Date:-
The Nokia Streaming Box 8000 is priced at £100 and will go on sale few days right before Christmas in few selected European countries. The retail packages include a remote control, a power adaptor, the set-up box of course and an HDMI cable. Pre-booking notification will be announced shortly after Christmas.
