It has been 2 years since Apple‘s HomePod has hit the market and 3 years since the revelation of their plan to get into the business of smart speakers. Though Apple has given several updates for the HomePod it didn’t really make it to the top of the market where Amazon and Google are already running the show.

Apple HomePod 2 Release Date and Availability

Apple declared that they are going to launch HomePod in June 2017 at WWDC but little did we know that it’s not going to go on sale until February 2018. They are still working on the updates for HomePod in spite of Apple’s silence regarding this.

However, there is a rumor that Apple could be discontinuing the production of HomePod because they are not able to sell much and also the fact that the device is not available in most parts of the world. You can find Apple HomePod in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Spain, Mexico, China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Taiwan, only recently in January, it was launched in India which seems to be quite odd for a company like Apple.

Price of Apple HomePod 2

On 20th March, Bloomberg said that Apple is working on upgraded versions of HomePod and other devices. Again on 13th April 2020, Bloomberg revealed that the company is in the process of releasing a cheaper and smaller version of HomePod.
