In Honor of “Channel Orange’s” 10th Anniversary, Frank Ocean Releases New Tracks!
Blonded Radio, which is hosted by Frank Ocean and airs on Apple Song 1, featured two programs on Sunday that featured the new music (July 10).
The first episode, titled “Blonded Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds,” is a chat between Ocean and the psychologist and author Dr. James Fadiman. The two discuss microdosing and psychedelics while an instrumental score composed by Ocean plays in the background.
In the second episode, titled “Blonded ENERGY!,” Ocean had a discussion with Mingtong Gu, a healer, and teacher who specializes in the Chinese healing practice of Qigong. It, too, was supported by a soundtrack composed by Ocean, and you can listen to both episodes on this page.
In addition, the musician’s web store now features brand new items, such as t-shirts bearing the Blonded Radio logo and a poster bearing the words “Channel Orange.”
In December of the previous year, Ocean performed a song that lasted approximately nine minutes on the program as a part of the holiday special. An interview with a motivational speaker and athlete from the Netherlands named Wim “The Iceman” Hof was included in this episode.
Ocean released his debut studio album, titled “Channel Orange,” in 2012, and then he released his sophomore album, titled “Blonde,” in 2016. Since that time, the musician has released a few tracks, the most notable of which are titled “DHL” and “In My Room.” Additionally, he made the tracks “Cayendo” and “Dear April” available on streaming sites; these songs had previously only been available on vinyl.
It has been rumored that Frank Ocean would be branching out into the film industry, with the musician reportedly planning to direct his first feature film.
