Cornell Iral Haynes Jr. was born on November 2, 1974, in Austin, Texas, and is better known by his stage name Nelly. His father was serving in the Air Force when Nelly was born.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol stopped Nelly’s tour bus in April 2015. According to one of the cops, the bus had a strong odor of pot. Officers searched the bus and found marijuana, drug paraphernalia, several firearms, and what they thought to be methamphetamine. Nelly was taken into custody and taken to jail.
He was granted bail and released. In addition to felony drug possession allegations, he was also charged with misdemeanor offenses. The felony allegation against Nelly was withdrawn after establishing that the material officers detected on her tour bus was not methamphetamine. She admitted to possessing a small amount of marijuana and drug accessories in December of that year.
In 2016, the IRS issued a $2.4 million lien against Nelly for delinquent taxes.
After a lady claimed that Nelly took her on board his tour bus that day and raped her, he was detained in Washington, near Seattle, in the fall of 2017. Nelly was taken into custody and taken to a detention cell. The allegations against him were dropped, and he was released from detention.

Personal Life
Shantel Jackson, an actress, model, and ex-girlfriend of Floyd Mayweather Jr., began dating Nelly in 2014.
4Sho4Kids Foundation, a philanthropic organization, founded by Nelly, is one of her many endeavors. In March 2003, he launched a campaign to raise awareness of the need for bone marrow transplants among African Americans and other minorities. In 2002, MTV Cribs showed off Nelly’s ranch-style five-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom home. For $740,158, he sold the house in June 2010. The house was constructed in 1972 in Eureka, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis. It is close to the Hidden Valley Country Club.
