Now You See Me 3 Is Currently Under Development and May Arrive Sooner Than You Think.
On June 29th, the third installment of the blockbuster franchise will be released in theaters. We last saw Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, and Dave Franco four years ago as they pulled off their most impossible heist yet. The Horsemen are back together in this new adventure after a two-year hiatus that has left them out of practice and out of sync with one another.
But, when a dangerous foe from Arthur Tressler’s past threatens to destroy him and his company for good, it will take all the team working together to stop him. With so much on the line in both of their professional lives.
What Is the Story of Now You See Me 3 About?
For what it’s worth, Jesse Eisenberg is still excited about making Now You See Me 3, though he is reportedly worried about audiences losing interest in the world. More troubling, said audience may not remember all the narrative acrobatics that occurred over the course of the first two films.
Both Now You See Me, and Now You See Me 2 played in the realm of cinematic sleight-of-hand, almost to the point of outright absurdity, much like a great magic trick. They did so, however, with such style, charm, and swagger that audiences didn’t seem to mind how many times the rug was pulled out from under them.
Those first two films followed the exploits of a band of criminal magicians who are assembled, and eventually recruited, by a powerful underground magic collective known as The Eye to pull off showy heists while being relentlessly pursued by the FBI and Interpol.

When we last saw The Four Horsemen, they’d been through some serious twists, with a rash of shocking revelations leading them deeper into The Eye’s world than they could’ve ever imagined. Unfortunately, viewers have yet to get a proper look behind The Eye’s curtain.
That will presumably change with Now You See Me 3, as the shrewd group of illusionists has been officially invited into the fold, with their daring companion, Dylan (Ruffalo), at the helm. Even though we’re almost certain to see the inner workings of The Eye in Now You See Me 3, there’s not much else we know about the film’s possible plot.
The one thing we know for certain is that there will be plenty of magic at work in Now You See Me 3, and we can’t wait to get lost in the illusion once more.
Release Date Now You See Me Season 3
With those two departures and the addition of a new writer, it’s possible that we’ll see a slightly different version of The Four Horsemen than was originally planned. The good news is that Lionsgate is bringing in a real heavy hitter to pen the story, recently announcing that Oscar-nominated American Hustle and Top Gun:

Maverick screenwriter Eric Warren Singer had landed the job. Because the news was just leaked, it’s assumed Singer is still in the early stages of writing, which means there’s probably not much else going on with the project right now. Obviously, this means we have no idea when Now You See Me 3 will be released in theaters.
Given that Now You See Me 2 was released over four years ago, the studio is likely to want to expedite the project as much as possible. Assuming Singer has a little magic in his corner, Now You See Me 3 could pick up steam from here on out in the production process.
