How Likely Are Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms to Reprise Their Roles in the Hangover: Season 4?
If you enjoy watching comedies, particularly crude, raunchy-styled comedies, The Hangover series should be at the top of your list. The first film not only won our hearts, but it also spawned two sequels in 2011 and 2013.
Even after almost a decade, when the third film was released, it remains a cult favorite among its fans. But will there be a fourth installment of The Hangover?
What Is the Plot of the Hangover 4?
The three ‘The Hangover’ films follow four friends, Phil, Stu, Alan, and Doug, on their misadventures at various bachelor parties. They usually revolve around three of the four men as they search for their missing fourth friend.
The first two films had this, with the friends waking up with no memory of the previous night after a night of debauchery. The first film took the Wolfpack to Las Vegas, and the second to Bangkok. The third and final installment of the trilogy takes a different turn, with the gang embarking on a road trip.
Mr. Chow, the eccentric drug lord who typically serves as the films’ antagonist, appears in all three films. However, as his popularity grows, he ends up becoming one of the main characters by the third installment. If there is a fourth installment in the ‘Hangover’ series, it is safe to assume that it will follow the same formula.

According to the viral poster (which was most likely created by a fan), Alan will lead the Wolfpack in the fourth installment. We can certainly anticipate the gang embarking on yet another wild misadventure. However, this is highly unlikely given that ‘The Hangover Part III’ pretty much wrapped up the Wolfpack’s storyline.
However, given the franchise’s popularity, we can certainly anticipate spin-offs and reboots in the future. A Mr. Chow spin-off has even been proposed by various cast members. Nothing, however, has been confirmed.
The Hangover 4 Expected Release Date
As of now, it appears that a fourth installment of ‘The Hangover’ is not in the works for either its cast or crew. However, due to the franchise’s popularity and large fan base, there is still a chance that we will see more of it in the future. However, a fourth installment is unlikely, especially given the series’ declining performance with each film.
At best, we might get a reboot or a spin-off someday. Phillips is currently working on several upcoming projects, including a recently announced sequel to ‘Joker.’ But even if we do get ‘The Hangover 4,’ it won’t be released until 2024 or later.
