What could possibly be hotter than the complete and utter political and economic collapse of the great United States of America you ask? Well, just about anything short of Elmo singing “Sexy Back.” But a bill, which would prepare the grand state of Wyoming to weather and perhaps even thrive in such an awkward situation, sounds pretty sexy to me.
This is a bit of a hot-button issue, pun intended, so I thought it would make for a good issue to discuss. Normally I do not really side with the Dale Gribbles of the world who hoard their metaphorical (or literal) Mountain Dew in their basements, awaiting Armageddon with a cigarette between their teeth and a shotgun at their hip. Let’s face it folks, the times are sketchy and sometimes the info coming from the Big House in D.C. is sketchier.
While this country is more than $15 trillion dollars in debt, it seems like everyone in the world hates each other just as much, if not more, than they hate us, and things that go boom are being passed around like a joint in any given episode of “That ‘70s Show.”
Sure, a bill that could potentially allow a state to someday coin its own money, issue its own draft and store up and handle energy and food resources sounds a bit drastic, but calling a fairly possible nationwide meltdown anything short of drastic would be a bit of a misnomer. All seriousness aside, I am sure Wyoming’s state legislators will read my charmingly intelligent article and reconsider their verdict on House bill 85. Way to get off your hot ass and “be the change you wish to see in the world,” Wyoming.
