That was a very good article but I must caution that though creating an open and responisble society will greatly reduce the abortion rate in the country to perhaps that of other rich countries where abortion is legal, it will not end all need for abortion. The same is true with making abortion a crime. In fact, there are relatively well-off countries where abortion is the equivalent of a serious felony with mandatory minimium prison sentences for all involved but still the abortion rate is much higher than it is here. Just my two cents.
Anyone who is incapable of getting pregnant should stay out of the discussion. If your feelings about abortion are based on your ligious beliefs, then you follow them. But remember that this is a religiously pluralist society and you have no right to force your beliefs on anyone else.
