Will Shadow and Bone adapt King of Scars or Rule of Wolves?

0

The second season of Shadow and Bone covered books two and three of the first Grishaverse trilogy. Will two more books be adapted for the upcoming third season?

Season 2 of Shadow and Bone included both Leigh Bardugo’s novels, Ruin and Rising and Siege and Storm. Almost, anyway. Major alterations were made to the original work, and I’m not entirely sure how I feel about them.

Yet, some viewers hope the show returns for a third season. The question is what effects that may have on the show. Do you think the plot could be based on King of Scars or Rule of Wolves? Bardugo has given her followers a taste of what’s to come.

Season 3 of Shadow and Bone May Adapt More Novels

The Grishaverse continues with two more books, the first of which is King of Scars. Nikolai’s next steps after the destruction of The Fold and the appearance of further Sun Summoners are discussed. If you haven’t read the book yet, I won’t give anything away.

Will Shadow and Bone adapt King of Scars or Rule of Wolves

Bardugo has hinted that elements of King of Scars and Rule of Wolves could be adapted for the third season (if it happens) in an interview with Radio Times. Considering the dramatic shifts that occurred by the season’s conclusion in Shadow and Bone, it stands to reason that significant adjustments would be required.

Alina and Mal have a peaceful existence in Ruin and Rising, appearing only when required. Mal abandoned Alina at the end of season 2, and Alina supported Nikolai when he became King of Ravka. In addition, she appears to be transitioning into a Shadow Summoner role.

Before we can even begin to think about stories, we need Netflix to renew the show. According to Bardugo, the omitted novels can’t be filler.

There are, of course, rumors that a spin-off centered on the Crows are in the works. Since the plot points from the Crows duology were recycled in season 2, it’s unclear what it will address.

As of right now, you may watch Season 2 of Shadow and Bone on Netflix.
