In 1998, after seeing the WWF’s “Monday Night Raw,” Angle changed his mind about professional wrestling, which he had previously deemed inferior to the real thing. At Survivor Series, he defeated Shawn Stasiak to make his WWF debut. Angle made his WWF debut in March of 1999 when he appeared in a storyline aired on television. New Japan Pro Wrestling and the Inoki Genome Federation were both home to Angle while he was a part of TNA. Angle won the IWGP Heavyweight Championship in 2007.
