The Witcher 3: The Highly Popular Game Is Getting A New DLC Soon!
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will receive a new DLC in the near future, which will most likely be the game’s final installment. The Witcher 3 fans were supposed to get their hands on PS5, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X versions of the game in 2021, according to plans. When the ports were postponed, they were given a release date of “2022,” which is obviously a very long time in the future. Having said that, the release window has been narrowed down to Q2 2022, which means it will be available sometime in April, May, or June of that year. For fans of The Witcher 3, not only will they be able to get their hands on the next-generation versions of the game during this time period, but they will also be able to get their hands on new DLC, though unfortunately, nothing on the scale of Blood and Wine or Hearts of Stone will be available.
These two expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood of Wine (which, when combined, added nearly 100 hours of new content), will not be surpassed by this DLC, for those who haven’t been keeping up with the game’s developments. On the contrary, the new DLC — which is rumored to be described by the Netflix show — will almost certainly be far less substantial than the original. However, while the teaser suggests that the DLC will be limited to cosmetic enhancements, it is not out of the realm of possibility that players will be treated to some genuine new content such as new quests or weapons.

For the time being, all we can do is speculate about what will be included in the DLC. The same is true for the actual next-generation versions of the games as well. There is some information available about the game’s visual and technical improvements on the PS5, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X — for example, we know that ray tracing and faster loading times will be included among these improvements — but that’s about all we know.
