The most anticipated Kannada Film of all time is finally hitting the big screens once again! KGF 2 is a sequel to the first chapter released in 2018. Chapter 1 was a huge success at an international level. Superstar Yash gained a lot of fame through the same. Since the day Chapter 1 ended with a massive cliffhanger, the audience has been waiting for the answers. Finally, after two years, it looks like their wait is coming to an end.
KGF 2 Release Date
After two whole years, K.G.F. Chapter 2 was finally going to release in July in India. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the date reportedly got shifted to 23rd October 2020. The release was later rescheduled for a future date. After getting postponed repeatedly, the film is finally releasing on the big screens on 14th January 2021. One reason for the shift was that the makers did not want the film to air on OTT platforms as it would diminish the theatrical feel.

KGF Chapter 2 Plot
Chapter 2 will start where it left off. Rocky will re-enter the Gold mines to pick a bone with the Adheera. Packed with a lot of action scenes, viewers will experience a mighty old sword fight along with blazing guns and flying knives between Yash and Sanjay Dutt. The producers might hopefully release more details as the release date approaches.
The Success of Chapter 1
K.G.F. Chapter 1 was the first critically acclaimed Kannada film to receive such recognition. It was also the first film to be dubbed in five languages and released on the same day. It became the first in its industry to cross the 100 crore mark. The movie came out in Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. Chapter 2 will also release in these five languages. Additionally, Superstar Yash and all other cast members were majorly appreciated for their performances.
Many people have linked Rocky’s character to rowdy Thangam, a criminal who was shot dead in a police encounter in 1997. Moreover, K.G.F. is nothing but Kolar Gold Fields, which is a mining region in Kolar district, Karnataka, India.
