The sequel to 2018’s Black Panther will be released in theatres later in the year (hopefully).
After a week-long delay due to Covid, the highly anticipated MCU sequel performance in terms of throughput in January 2022 is slated to wrap up in February. After suffering an accident while filming, Letitia Wright needed a hiatus from November 2021 until January 2022.
It was confirmed in May 2021 that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be the title of the follow-up film. In November 2022, the sequel to the initial May 2022 film will be released in theatres, following a series of delays.
Everyone engaged in the production is determined to ensure that Chadwick Boseman is remembered in this sequel, which would be the first time we have been to Wakanda since his untimely passing in August 2020.
Chadwick was absent for the first week of filming, and “everyone felt his presence and missed him on that throne,” according to Whoopi Bassett, who will reprise her role as Ramonda, King T’Challa’s mother.
To start things off, we all gathered and paid tribute to him. “Everyone just spoke wonderful words about him and expressed how much we care for him and how he enlightened and inspired us.”
There is no word yet on how the sequel would handle Boseman’s unfortunate demise (albeit he will not be digitally rebuilt), but the news is good while we wait for the movie to be released next year.
Who Will Return for Black Panther Wakanda Forever?
It has been revealed that the sequel will not replace the character of T’Challa and will honor the panther legacy of Chadwick Boseman. Fortunately, the sequel will not feature a ‘digital double.’
According to Marvel Studios EVP Victoria Alonso, “There can only be one Chadwick, and he’s not here.” This isn’t just fiction: “We’re taking a little time to figure out how we’ll return to history and honor this part of our history that was so unforeseen, so awful, so terrible, truly.”
The fictional African nation of Wakanda is ripe for an investigation into its many peoples and customs. As Kevin Feige explained, many of the comics and the first movie are set in Wakanda. The following story was always and initially focused on this. There will be no CGI Chadwick or T’Challa recasting in this movie.
Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Maxwell Duke, Danai Gurira, Angela Bassett, and Danny Sapani return as Shuri, Karna, M’Baku, Ojo, Ramonda, and M’Kathu, respectively, in the follow-up to the critically acclaimed film.
In the sequel, Duke is planned to have an “increased role,” but Marvel has yet to confirm the allegations, and Narcos: Mexico actor Tenoch Huerta is in talks to portray one of the antagonists.
Martin Freeman will reprise his role as CIA operative Everett Ross, while Daniel Kaluuya may not return as W’Kabi. A “simply wonderful” filming experience has been teased by Sapani recently, raising expectations for the finished result.
Is Michael B Jordan going to reprise his role as Killmonger? Because Killmonger was slain in the first film, it’s doubtful, but strange things have happened.
In an alternate universe, Jordan made his appearance as Killmonger from What If…? He remained cryptic when asked about a possible return to the MCU in January 2022.
He remarked, “It’s a person that I adore.” “What if? You know that Marvel has a long-term strategy.”
It has been announced that I May Destroy You actress Michaela Coel and If Beale Street Could Talk Dominique Thorne will be joining the cast.
With Zendaya as MJ and Jacob Batalon as Ned going to MIT after No Way Home, might Riri lead to a Spider-Man crossover? It’s where Riri went to college in the comics, as well as the sequel was rumored to have been filmed on the campus of MIT.
Marvel actor Anthony Mackie, who played Falcon in The Winter Soldier, was also seen. However, the actor has since clarified his absence, saying that he was only on location for the shoot. Again, this could be a ruse similar to the Spider-Runion. Men’s Only time will tell if this is a good idea.
Several members of the original Black Panther creative team are returning to work on the sequel titled Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Can Killmonger Play Wakanda Forever?
Unlike the other Allies, this card could be used to stop another Ally from being removed from play, such as when the Avengers are discovered. The Wakanda Forever card can be played before Ender has found the Black Panther, hence avoiding the need for Killmonger to trigger Challenge for the Throne.
In What Year Does Black Panther 2 Come Out?
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will now open in theatres on November 11, 2022, instead of the originally scheduled October 20, 2021 release date.
There is a four-month shift from July 2022 to February 17, 2023, with the sequel taking over the role of The Marvels. We hope it will be the final shift for the film, although nothing is set in stone.
Filming began in June 2021. However, as previously indicated, there was a break from November 2021 until January 2022. In January of 2022, production was able to get back up and running but not before another week-long hiccup.
In the meantime, filming has been completed, which indicates that the November 11 release date could be met.
What Is the Black Panther Wakanda Forever Plot?
The sequel’s focus will have to shift now that we know T’Challa won’t be recast, and the only thing we know for sure is that it will continue to pursue Wakanda and beyond.
The first set photo doesn’t reveal much other than that we’re all excited.
The sequel to “Wakanda” has yet to be released, but it appears that we’ll get to know a variety of individuals and learn more about the “mythology” of Wakanda.
Production Weekly just revealed official story details for Wakanda Forever, confirming the presence of Namor in the film.
According to these data, Atlantis and Wakanda’s formidable military capabilities have chosen to remain concealed from the rest of the world out of concern for their safety.
However, if the sequel is going to be a prequel, Kevin Feige has hinted that he would like to explore more Wakandan history in the sequel.
At the end of the film, T’Challa re-administers the herb and meets his father, who tells him, “Hey, man. Entertainment Weekly quoted him saying, “We’ve screwed up, and I want to fix it.”
At some point, all of T’Chaka’s forebearers gather around him. “I want to see… what’s their story?” was a running joke among us. What’s going on? What was the name of Wakanda’s first monarch, Bashenga? Behind T’Chaka, there’s a third figure on the left. Who is he? Who were they in 1938 in Wakanda? In my opinion, that’d be cool.
Everything begins with a simple exchange of ideas. We’ll have more opportunities to explore new locations and eras as more people demand these stories be made available.

Will There Be a Black Panther Part 2?
Eleven years from now, in 2022. There have been several postponements, and Thor: Love and Thunder will now be released on its initial release date of July 8, 2022. Only a tiny percentage of the time will the movie be released simultaneously in theatres and on Disney Plus. As a result, the release date for The Marvels has been pushed back to 2023.
