Drinks of the Week

Quick Coffee Smoothie

1 cup of chilled coffee

1 tsp of sugar, honey
or chocolate syrup
(or flavoring of your choice)

1 banana cut into chunks

½ cup of whole milk

In order to make this quick and tasty treat, you first want to blend together the coffee, banana and milk in a blender. Once it has reached a smooth texture, you can add the flavor of your choice.

Be sure to start small and taste the smoothie as you go in order to get just the right taste.

Since classes have started again, we are all struggling with the difficult task of waking up early after a month of sleeping in. This drink is perfect for mornings when you don’t have time for coffee and breakfast. It’s the perfect blend of coffee and fruit mixed in with whatever flavoring you choose.

Butterbeer

1 quart of vanilla ice cream

¼ cup of butterscotch syrup

34 oz. of cream soda

Butterscotch Schnapps (the amount is up to you)

Before you begin making this magical drink, you’ll want to place a few 16 oz. glasses in the freezer to chill for at least twenty minutes. Next, you’ll want to blend the ice cream and soda together until they are completely combined. After that, you may choose to add the butterscotch syrup and blend again, or you can add the syrup to the mixture last (as a topping). The last step is to add the butterscotch schnapps—however much you feel is necessary—blend and pour into the chilled glasses. As a topping you may add whipped cream.

This drink is delicious, but if you’re not a fan of sweets or butterscotch, you’d better stay away as it’s filled with both. Don’t drink too much, or you’ll be sure to have a stomachache.
