Man in black cowboy hat robs Laramie bank, escapes on foot
Police confirmed that a man dressed in a black cowboy hat committed an armed robbery of a Laramie bank at 5 p.m. on Wednesday. The suspect escaped on foot and is still at large. Police was not able to release a description of the suspect as of Wednesday night, but advised to call 911 for any leads on the suspect and to avoid directly engaging the suspect. While police could not confirm the bank in question, the Branding Iron has received information that the robbery took place at the First National Bank. Further updates will be released as more information is made available by officials.

“Police was not able to . . .” Really? Who does your proofreading. And judging from the comments at the right of this page, you guys seem to have these problems often. At the very least, your readers should be able to expect proper grammar and spelling.
Perhaps a Wiki-format is in order where those of us with grammar nazi tendencies can go in and correct the mistakes. While I understand finals, scholastic deadlines, and holidays can be stressful and take time away from other commitments, this does look bad.
I think that you might be missing the point. While agreed that this information should be presented in a scholarly fashion, the content (especially in this post) should carry the most significance to you, as the reader. Their is a human aspect here that you are missing, both aesthetically and conceptually. Yes, there’s a typo and everyone makes infinitesimal mistakes that may “look bad”. That, however, is not as degrading to society as the decline of morals and scruples among ourselves. The important human aspect you are missing in this story is this: a person’s life was threatened by someone who wanted the easy way out and didn’t care who they stepped on in the process. We all have to pick up the tab for inconsiderate people like this. Also, what about that teller’s peace of mind? Support and justice would probably be a good direction to go with this.
Yes, society had been on the way down ever since the recent invention of theft and inconsiderate behavior. Also, the music is too loud.
