The world’s largest outdoor western celebration is known not only for its million dollar rodeo, but for its quality night entertainment as well.  The 112th ‘Daddy of ‘em All’ is no different.  Country music enthusiasts were in line at Frontier Park for as long as ten hours Saturday waiting to obtain front row seats for the show featuring the popular Rascal Flatts and the 2008 Grammy nominee Taylor Swift.

Wanted is the 21st century Matrix with a splash of Office Space.  Two totally different movies and genres, yet it blended well. Wesley Gibson, played by James McAvoy, is a typical guy with the “I hate my job working in a cubical and being surrounded by idiots” attitude. He finds out he has a special gift that his father also had.
Morgan Freeman played Sloan, the leader of a group of assassins called The Fraternity.  I thought Sloan was similar to Morphius in The Matrix. Angelina Jolie’s character Fox was covered in tattoos. She drove stolen fast cars while hanging out of the window, doing crazy acrobatics in order to shoot someone.  It was the usual Angelina Jolie character. The violence was intense and the realistic looking blood gushed from the wounds.  People were shot in the head and the movie showed all of it.  The movie lived up to its R rating.
A technique The Fraternity used is the curving of a bullet.  They can shoot around an innocent person or at someone who is around the corner.  The special effects were impressive. The name Wesley Gibson is close to the Office Space character Peter Gibbons.  At first, I thought he said his name was Wesley Gibbons instead of Gibson.  Wesley’s annoying boss reminded me of an annoying character who answered the phones on Office Space.  They looked a lot alike.
There were so many similarities with other movies like The Matrix and Office Space.  Those are two popular movies people like, so why not make a movie that has elements from successful movies? Most of the office scenes were unoriginal because it was so much like Office Space.            
I will probably buy Wanted when it comes out on DVD.  There were a few cheesy parts, but the graphics and action made up for it.  It is definitely one of those movies to see in a movie theater!
