Along with most rodeo events come a handful of young ladies with the job of representing the event all over the state. Laramie Jubilee Days is no different as four cowgirls were chosen as royalty.

People gathered in Denver on Sunday outside the City and County Building for Pride Festival 2008. It was a celebration of community and culture produced by the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center of Colorado.

Dr. Audrey Sprenger lectures about Denver's influence on Jack Kerouac's culture changing novel On The Road. A bus tour of 40 people toured Denver and discussed the book last Sunday.

Art is a very subjective media. Can art be defined? Do we spell it with a capital “A?”
Some say that art can be called such when it inspires or evokes certain reactions, and if the artist is truly “skilled.” Others look at art as a way of stirring up controversy. It is a vessel, or a means to stimulate social uprisings.

It’s not often we get to express ourselves artistically on public property without consequence, but when that chance does come along, and has in fact been around for a while, it’s almost one’s obligation to take advantage of the opportunity. The Laramie File, as it is appropriately named because it is literally an oversized manila file-folder turned on its side, is the opportunity I’m talking about.
