Josh Duggar is Reportedly Upset With His Sisters for Not Backing Him During the Trial

Even though Josh Duggar is the one in jail for abusing children, he is reportedly upset with his sisters for refusing to stand up for him—despite the fact that they were once his victims.

Josh Is Supposed To Want To Write A Narrative Book

A source recently told In Touch, “He’s blaming everybody except himself for the court’s decision.” He’s been yearning to write a tell-all, and he has nothing to lose in the interim. Even from behind bars, they’re all genuinely afraid of him and what he’s capable of!

Josh’s family’s reality show, Counting On, which had been shown on TLC for six years, was canceled as a result of his 2021 conviction for possessing improper materials portraying kids. The show was a major source of income for the Duggar family, therefore the controversy had a negative financial impact.

The cancellation occurred years after it was discovered Josh had abused his own sisters in the past, a sinister secret that was made public in 2015 and severely damaged the family’s standing.

As a result, the original reality show hosted by the family, 19 Kids and Counting, was canceled. Despite being a spin-off, Josh and his spouse were never mentioned on Counting On.

Josh’s sisters, on the other hand, are presumably (and appropriately) still outraged about his conduct, so they might not be troubled by his hatred towards him.

The insider continued, “His sisters just want to move on and raise their families.” “They are able to forgive Josh for his actions toward them, but he will not forgive them for their lack of support during the trial.”

Josh’s Appeal Was Just Turned Down

Josh will probably serve a lengthy prison sentence since, as it was just disclosed, the Supreme Court denied his attempt to appeal his conviction, closing all further options for reversing the ruling.

Josh Duggar’s lawyer, Justin Gelfand, contended that his client did not have a fair trial in 2021. The first appeal was submitted in June 2022, arguing that Duggar’s rights had been infringed upon during a 2019 raid on his vehicle lot and that the trial was unfair.

Gelfand further argued that supporting data and hypotheses were ignored. In particular, Duggar’s defense team has maintained that Caleb Williams, a former employee, had access to the damning laptops discovered at the now-closed used car business owned by Duggar, which housed the illicit content.

Notwithstanding these assertions, Josh’s most recent attempt to overturn the conviction was unsuccessful, and his first appeal was turned down in August 2022.

Josh’s attempts to have his sentence revoked were dramatically dashed when the Supreme Court declined to consider his most recent appeal without offering a remark. When a court rejects an appeal without providing a reason, it means that it finds no significant legal problems or mistakes in the lower court’s decision that call for additional investigation.

This usually means that the higher court concluded that the initial ruling was reasonable and compliant with established legal standards.

Josh Duggar is therefore still serving his sentence in a Texas prison, with his anticipated release date being October 2032. It is said that he has used every available option to have his conviction overturned.
