Yet, is Love Quinn still in existence? She’s not. Season 4 Episode 9 features her brief cameo after Joe takes a sedative to help him sleep and has disturbing nightmares. He has nightmares about the women he has killed: Kate’s friend Gemma, his ex-girlfriend Guinevere Beck, and lastly, Love.
These three women are indeed deceased, and Joe is only having a nightmare. Furthermore, it serves as a wake-up call for him to recognize he needs to stop killing others. Well, I guess for the time being.
In Joe’s dream, Love confronts him about his history of violence towards women and hands him a revolver, ordering him to put an end to it. Joe interprets his dream as a message that he should terminate his life upon waking, but his suicide attempt is unsuccessful, and he lives to see the next season. And then he comes to his senses and resolves to carry out his plan to become a serial killer.
Our hope that Love would still be alive at the start of season 4 was low. In a 2021 interview with Newsweek, Sera Gamble stated that the character was indeed dead.
Though you seemingly abandoned the Joe and Love plotline towards the end of Season 4, I think I can speak for everyone when I say that it was great to see Pedretti again. One of the show’s most riveting aspects was the love story.
