Two months after reconciling, American rapper Aaron Carter and his fiancée Melanie Martin have broken up.

On February 23, the 34-year-old artist announced their breakup via his Twitter account. In addition to requesting privacy for his situation, he stated in his letter that he has no plans to enter into a romantic relationship at this time since he is “too terrified” and “can’t trust” any lady.

Carter continued, “They cost me $50,000 in court; my family was attempting to drain me so my house would be taken away from me in foreclosure by labeling me a pedophile and messaging me on Christmas with restraining orders.”

When asked by a fan how he was doing, Carter said, “I’ve never felt better.” He had only recently revealed his relationship with Martin, 34, in January 2020.

They announced their engagement on social media a few days after Carter broke the devastating news. Carter shared an early preview of their journey to motherhood in March 2021 by posting a photo of a positive pregnancy test.
