The story focuses on the citizens of Mikado City who, despite continuing to get into brawls with their neighbours on occasion, have moved on with their lives and returned to their normal routines. The establishment of limits is currently seen as increasingly common practise.
One day, a mysterious youngster with white hair and the name Yma Kuga shows up at the local school in order to enrol in classes. For the sake of concealing his true identity, Kuga has become one of Border’s most formidable humanoid Neighbors.
Osamu Mikumo, another student at the university, is currently working as a C-class Border trainee. Mikumo’s role is to follow Kuga about Mikado City and keep him hidden from the Border Guards. This is necessary due to the fact that Kuga is completely oblivious to city life.
Why There Was a Gap Between the Seasons?
There is no avoiding the manga artist Daisuke Shihara’s health problems. Mangaka has suffered from a number of ailments, including digestive troubles after having his gall bladder removed and cervical spondylosis (wear and tear damaging the spinal discs in the neck).
Longest pause occurred between November 2016 and October 2018. Daisuke, meanwhile, has taken two separate 30-day sabbatical this year.
In 2020, a preliminary version of Chapter 197 was made available online. Then Daisuke took a hiatus until Chapters 198 and 199 came out on August 3, 2020. On September 3, 2020, Chapters 200 and 201 appeared in the same magazine issue.
On January 3, 2021, Daisuke was back on track with his monthly plan, having completed World Trigger Chapter 204.
Just one month into 2021, it was announced that World Trigger would be on sabbatical. It was declared in the beginning of 2021. After the manga was pulled offline, Jump Square magazine did not release a new chapter until February 4, 2021.
The official World Trigger Twitter account confirmed the author experienced “sudden sickness,” but they assured their followers that he had not contracted COVID-19.
Another monthlong hiatus for World Trigger began on March 29, 2021, due to continued health difficulties. The World Trigger manga was absent from the May 2021 edition of Jump Square. In June of 2021, though, it was returned. With the release of Season 3 of World Trigger set for the upcoming Fall 2021, the manga’s creator will have more time to catch up to the anime.
The first few chapters of World Trigger 2022 stumbled out of the gate. On December 27, 2021, Jump Square announced that starting with their January 4, 2022 edition, they would no longer be publishing the World Trigger.
