Black Panther 3 Release Date: Can We Expect Namor in Season 3?

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will have Marvel fans returning to the kingdom of Wakanda with many doubts about how the film plans to do both justice to the past and provide its cherished characters a bright future.

Of course, the story couldn’t finish here, or in Wakanda, but figuring out how to extend Ryan Coogler’s Marvel franchise could be as difficult as making a sequel.

And yet, within the bigger Marvel Cinematic Universe canopy, Wakanda is going to have its own little universe of storylines. Nate Moore, producer of the upcoming documentary Wakanda Forever, has stated that Marvel is working on various programmes set in the fictional African nation.

Moore informed Variety that she is working with Proximity Media, the production business of filmmaker Ryan Coogler “Beyond what happens with this film, there are more opportunities to go back to Wakanda… There are no shortage of ideas, let’s put it that way.”

Black Panther 3: Release Date

Black Panther 3’s lack of confirmation is not surprising given Marvel’s habit of delaying the announcement of new projects. Black Panther 3 has been considered, as is customary with MCU films, and producer Nate Moore confirmed as much, but said a decision won’t be made for some time. Assume Black Panther 3 will still take place despite Marvel’s cautious attitude.

Black Panther 3

Since Marvel has not yet confirmed production on Black Panther 3, there is currently no set release date. If that occurs, then it will be at least a few years before the sequel is released. The MCU has expanded to the point where they have movies scheduled for release in 2026 on their already full slate.

However, Marvel still has numerous open release dates, including July 25, 2025; November 7, 2025; February 13, 2026; July 24, 2026; and November 6, 2026. Given the four-year gap between Black Panther and Wakanda Forever, and assuming a similarly spaced release schedule for Black Panther 3, one of those 2026 spaces could be a potential home.

What is Likely to Happen in Black Panther 3?

Several things in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever lay the groundwork for Black Panther 3. At the film’s conclusion, M’Baku makes a bid for the throne of Wakanda. Black Panther 3 might explore the repercussions of this, including whether or not M’Baku actually becomes King and what that would entail.

Shuri’s ascension to the kingdom does not mark the end of her adventures; as the new Black Panther, she will undoubtedly face new challenges and adversaries. Doom was said to be the main enemy in Black Panther 2, but he isn’t in this film, and he reportedly won’t be in the Fantastic Four film either.

Black Panther 3

Since Black Panther 2 established the Midnight Angels, with Doom as their primary adversary in the comics, he could be a potential antagonist for Black Panther 3. Prince T’Challa, the son of King T’Challa and Nakia, is another important member of the royal family.

It’s hard to say what he’d do since he’s still a kid, but if the sequel takes place a long time after the first one, he might get a bigger part in the throne tale or even become the next Black Panther.

Can We Expect Namor in Season 3?

At the end of the movie, it’s evident that Namor’s story isn’t over, but it’s unclear where we’ll see him next. It would make the most sense for Namor to interact with Black Panther in a third Black Panther film, but he also has a long comics history with a wide variety of other characters.

The merman, in particular, played a significant antagonistic role in The Fantastic Four. Just about anywhere Namor and the Talokians show up next, we hope to see a lot more of them. After forming an alliance with Wakanda, Namor said that his struggle against the surface world was far from over.
