Simpsons Now Returns for a Treehouse of Horror!

After making its debut with a parody of Stephen King’s horror film It earlier in Season 34 titled “Not It,” The Simpsons now returns for a Treehouse of Horror XXXIII Halloween special.

This year’s episode will feature three segments, two of which will offer uni que takes on the films The Babadook and Westworld, and the third will be a full parody of Death Note titled “Death Tome.”

Early glances at the Death Note homage, the second section of the special, have emerged, revealing a first look at characters such as Marge and Homer in special anime art styles. The Death Note tribute is the second segment of the special.

The South Korean animation studio DR Movie, which has worked on movies such as Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Batman (The Animated Series), and Teen Titans, is responsible for the short’s stunning animations, which give the film an extremely encouraging first impression.

In addition to the screenshots, a short portraying Lisa Simpson as the owner of the potent “Death Tome” has also come to light. In this scene, which takes place in a dystopian city that is overrun with pollution, Lisa vents her anger at the state of the city by remarking that “the human species is 20 cow farts away from absolute extinction, and we deserve it.”

Lisa will most likely embark on a mission to save the world with the power that she has recently acquired, and she will run into unanticipated challenges along the way. There is a hint that anime versions of the twins Sherri and Terri, as well as Disco Stu, are lurking in the background.

The special Treehouse of Horror XXXIII episode will be broadcast on FOX stations at 8:00 PM Eastern Standard Time on October 30, and it will be available to stream on Hulu the next day.

In other news pertaining to the entertainment industry, production on the second season of House of the Dragon will begin early in 2023.
