In WCW, he first appeared with the Master Blasters. Beginning in 1991, he competed as a singles wrestler under the ring name Oz. In 1992, he was recast as Vinnie Vegas. He joined forces with Diamond Dallas Page, who was training in the stables of Harley Race.

Nash joined the World Wrestling Federation in 1993, using the ring name Diesel in that organisation. First, he was Shawn Michaels’ bodyguard. Nash has been crowned world heavyweight champion six times, five times in WCW and once in the WWF.
