La Reina del Sur is a Spanish telenovela based on the same-named novel by Spanish novelist Arturo Pérez-Reverte. Season 1 was produced by Telemundo, an American TV network, while Season 2 is a co-production between Telemundo Global Studios and streaming service Netflix.
Kate del Castillo reprises her role as Teresa Mendoza in season 3 of La Reina del Sur, based on the bestselling novel by Arturo Perez-Reverte. When it premiered in 2011, the series was a huge success for Telemundo.
After an absence of eight years, the network is finally bringing back the sequel in April of this year, and the third instalment will not be out for another three. It was revealed by Telemundo that the season three debut will take place on Tuesday, October 18.
Furthermore, the network released a new video to pique the curiosity of die-hard fans, and the show’s actress promoted it to her nine million Instagram followers, resulting in over 100,000 likes in a short amount of time.
As the release of season 3 is confirmed people are now eager to learn if the series will continue and will there be season 4 of the series.
La Reina del Sur Season 4: Release Date
As of now nothing about the release of season 4 is announced by the network. Season 1 of the series was released in 2011 and season 2 was released after 8 years in 2019. Season 3 finally received a green light after 3 years. So its hard to anticipate when season 4 will release.
In addition to the Spanish title, La Reina del Sur also goes by the English title. It debuted in 2016 on Netflix and is titled Queen of the South. Among the show’s stars are Alice Braga, Verónica Falcón, and Justina Machado. It will be available to watch on Netflix.

What Will Be the Storyline of La Reina Del Sur Season 4?
The events of the first season take place nine years before the events of this season, and this season focuses on Teresa Mendoza. Hidden from the rest of the world, Teresa now lives an idyllic existence in the Italian Tuscany, but the kidnapping of her daughter forces her to reinsert herself into the underworld of drug trafficking and to once again confront her old enemies and the history she sought to put behind.
In season 3 working undercover is something that teresa is doing. She said “Well I already told you that she was in confinement for four months!” she exclaimed. “That’s a lot already. I can tell you that she’s going to be undercover. She has to dress up in a whole costume and go to different countries in Latin America, which is amazing.
We went to amazing places in Latin America. Beautiful, beautiful, outstanding places. So no more!” Only after the release of season 3 some guess can be made on the plot of season 4.
