This past weekend, TwitchCon took place at the San Diego Convention Center, and one of the exhibits resulted in numerous people requiring medical attention due to injuries they sustained.

The event played host to tens of thousands of attendees, including many of the most popular streamers and content providers on the internet. The event may have begun with many guests who were eager; yet, many of those visitors left disillusioned, upset, and some were even wounded.

How the TwitchCon Event Became a Reason of Severe Pain?

The event known as TwitchCon had the intention of providing entertainment for the thousands of people who were planning to attend the San Diego convention.

Instead, that immediately changed when participants were participating in an interactive display that was operated by Lenovo and Intel. In this exhibit, people had to “fight” one another by standing on one of two platforms that were suspended over a foam pit.

One of the films that was uploaded on Twitter shows two women attempting to use foam noodles to knock each other off of their platforms while competing in a competition.

The only issue was that the pit of foam cubes was spread out over bare concrete, and it was only about a foot deep. When they jumped off of it, it hurt streamer Loch Vaness.

Moments later, she became aware that she had sustained an injury, and the next day, she posted on social media a picture stating that she had dislocated her knee.

“We are aware of the incidents of TwitchCon visitors who sustained injuries in the gladiator game soft foam pit at the Lenovo booth, and are working with event organizers to look into the incidents.”
