Hocus Pocus 3 Release Date: What Could Happen in Season 3?
Disney makes a strong case for the necessity of a Hocus Pocus 3 based on the events in the second film. Disney finally released a follow-up to 1993’s Hocus Pocus, starring Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker as the Sanderson Sisters, a coven of witches.
Despite its lacklustre debut, Hocus Pocus has become a Halloween staple on cable television throughout the decades since its release. When Hocus Pocus 2 premieres on Disney+, fans will undoubtedly have questions about the future of the series.
A gang of Salemites, inspired by the film Hocus Pocus, unwittingly resurrect the ambitious witches Winifred, Mary, and Sarah Sanderson. Winifred, the eldest sister, in particular, has vengeance on her mind this time around.
Winifred comes to terms with her prioritisation of her status as the most powerful Sanderson Sister above her connection with her sisters after learning on their most recent modern-day mission that a spell for ultimate power requires the sacrifice of Mary and Sarah.
Hocus Pocus 3: Release Date
Since the production of Hocus Pocus 3 has not yet been formally announced by Disney, there is currently no estimated release date for the film’s third instalment.
If the second film is a financial success, Disney may want to move fast on a third adventure starring Emily and Mary-Kate Sanderson. This is because we would want not to have to wait another 29 years for the next film in the series.
Even if that does occur, it is highly unlikely that you will be able to watch the third movie before Halloween 2024 according to digital spy, and that is presuming that it will even be confirmed.

Which Cast Members Could Return in Season 3?
Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy might all reprise their roles as Winnie, Sarah, and Mary Sanderson in a third film.
Kathy Najimy has hinted that the three main cast members may return to their roles in the future, but she has also added, “I feel like we’re done. We’ve pulled every story you could pull out of this. I guess, never say never, but I feel grateful that we got to do it again. I don’t know that there are plans for a third one.”
Parker has disclosed that Najimy’s plan for a third animated film is still in the works. However, Bette Midler, one of the Sanderson sisters, is eager to reprise her role as the witch.
The actress Midler said, “If there was a third one, of course I’d sign on, but I don’t know how. I can’t imagine what the story would be, but I love Winifred, Sarah, Mary, and our relationship. It’s good for women. “We stick together through hell and high water, but we do cause mayhem, and not many women cause that much mayhem!”
After Winnie’s curse was broken and she vanished at the end of the film, it seems unlikely that Doug Jones’ Billy Butcher would return.
Assuming nobody else dies, we could see the return of anyone from the Hocus Pocus 2 cast, including Whitney Peak (who played Becca), Belissa Escobedo (who played Izzy), Lilia Buckingham (who played Cassie), Sam Richardson, Tony Hale, and others.

What Could Happen in Hocus Pocus 3?
Becca becomes the new owner of the magical spellbook, known as “Book,” after Winifred returns to her sisters at the end of Hocus Pocus 2. More importantly, on her sixteenth birthday—Halloween night—Becca learns that she possesses witchlike abilities.
As the torch is transferred to a new group of witches in Salem, her newly discovered abilities may be the centrepiece of Hocus Pocus 3. The Witch Mother, played by Hannah Waddingham, is lurking in the background as the three teenagers make their way home in the last minutes of Hocus Pocus 2.
In the post-credits scene in Hocus Pocus 3, we learn that Gilbert’s magic shop is hiding a second Black Flame candle, an item necessary to resurrect the Sanderson Sisters.
What Did the Actors Have to Say About Season 3’s Arrival?
The cast and crew of Hocus Pocus 3 remain optimistic despite the fact that Disney has neither confirmed or denied the production of a third film in the series. Anne Fletcher, the director of Hocus Pocus 2, recently stated in an interview with SFX Magazine that she “kept it wide open for any sequel” in regard to the most recent instalment in the series.

When it comes to Midler, Najimy, and Parker, it seems as though all three are on board with the idea of making a third Hocus Pocus film. When Bette Midler was asked about the potential of a third Hocus Pocus film, she said that although she would be interested in participating, she was unsure of where the story could go.
A sentiment quite similar to this was expressed by Parker, who said, “Of course I’d be happy to have a conversation [for a third film]” before indicating that it also depends on what her co-stars want.”
