You Season 4 is Finally Confirmed by Netflix!

It’s likely that you’ve found this page because you’re eager to learn more about the upcoming season of a popular Netflix thriller. That’s the kind of forward-thinking, savvy, and helpful behaviour that has earned you our admiration, and it’s why we like you so much.

After murdering his wife Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti), abandoning their child, and faking his own death, Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) was last seen prowling the streets of Paris incognito, signalling he had migrated worldwide.

There was no doubt in anyone’s mind that he would travel to Paris in search of Marienne Bellamy (Tati Gabrielle), the librarian who revealed his dark, deadly tendencies in the season three finale. Previously unknown information about the next season has been revealed, providing insight into the new love interest (obsession), setting, and more.

You Season 4: Release Date

It has been established that You season four will arrive on our screens in two parts.

On February 10, 2022, the first half of the season will be made available for streaming, which is just in time for Valentine’s Day if you’re looking for something to binge-watch. After then, we won’t get part two until the 10th of March, 2022, which means we’ll have to wait an entire month.

The Netflix crew revealed a clapperboard from the set that displayed the date that filming for season four officially began on March 22, 2022 in London. The date was written on the clapperboard. Since we are talking about Joe, it is only natural that the board was covered in blood. After all, we are talking about him.

We also have reason to believe that they are filming in Paris because it is where we last saw him at the end of the third season of the show.

Which Cast Members Will Return in You Season 4?

Joe Goldberg, played by Penn Badgley, will return for Season 4, and Marienne, played by Tati Gabrielle (though it’s unclear in what capacity), will be the object of his fixation.

Several fresh faces have been added to the primary cast. First up is Euphoria’s Lukas Gage, who plays Adam, a rich American expat who can’t live up to his family’s expectations.

In the film Feel Good, Charlotte Ritchie plays the role of Kate, the director of an art gallery who is both fiercely loyal to her friends and sceptical of anyone who isn’t one of them. Lady Phoebe, Kate’s best friend, is Tilly Keeper. Lady Phoebe is affluent and famous but naive, so she attracts con artists.

Nadia, portrayed by Amy-Leigh Hickman, is a bold literature major and aspiring writer whose past sins threaten to derail her life. Finally, Ed Speleers portrays the controversial novelist Rhys, who rose to fame thanks to the success of his autobiography detailing his turbulent childhood.

What Could Happen in You Season 4?

The third season finale of You was, to put it mildly, emotional. Joe killed his wife Love (Victoria Pedretti), left their infant with another family, faked his own death, made a pie out of his own toe to blame Love for his own death, and then burned down their suburban California home.

Joe, now going by Nick, had recently landed in Paris, where he hoped to meet Marienne, a native of that city. Season 4 of You will mostly take place in London, with some episodes also taking place in Paris.

A new identity for Joe was revealed at Netflix’s Tudum event. He is currently posing as a professor at a fictitious university under the name Jonathan Moore. This makes sense, considering we know that scenes at Royal Holloway University were used in the episode. Nonetheless, it is still unknown what he is doing with his newfound freedom.

It’s not only a new setting; things will be changed overall. Badgley told Entertainment Tonight: “The tone is similar but it’s shifting in that there is a different format. We’re using a different format,” he emphasized. “It’s almost like we’re shifting the genre slightly. And I think it works.”

Could This Be the Last Season of You?

The good news is that it seems unlikely that Season 4 of You will be the show’s last. The streaming giant normally informs viewers how many seasons of a show they have left when it renews that show. After renewing You for a fourth season in October 2021, Netflix did not say whether or not it would be the show’s last instalment.

What is the Source Material for the Story of You?

The show is adapted from novels written by Caroline Kepnes, the first of which, was released in 2014. So far, Kepnes has published three novels in the series: the original in 2015, Hidden Bodies in 2016, and You Love Me in 2021.
