The newest Korean drama on Netflix, Tomorrow, follows the narrative of Choi Jun-woong, a young man who is having trouble finding job when a terrible tragedy leaves him in a coma. This event transforms him into a hybrid human/spirit being and exposes him to the underworld and its inhabitants, including the grim reaper.
Funnily enough, this is when he is finally able to secure gainful employment, joining the fast-paced risk management team of the afterlife organisation Jumadeung, whose mission is to aid those who are contemplating suicide. Tomorrow season 2 has not yet been been renewed by netflix.

Tomorrow develops the idea of a couple who are in love but unable to become each other’s healthy support systems as they try to overcome trauma together. As the series concludes, Ryeon has a change of heart, realises the importance of her work, and vows to do no harm.
Although the couple’s ardent supporters have been working hard to get them back together, it remains unclear whether or not they will succeed; despite Ryeon’s assertion that their love is still strong, it has naturally dimmed over the duration of two centuries. Joong-gil has finally been able to put his memories of the past to rest.
