Is Cartoon Network Shutting Down

According to reports circulating on the internet, Cartoon Network will reportedly be discontinued this year. For children who were born in the 1980s and 1990s, the go-to location for excellent content geared toward children was Cartoon Network. These children were the target audience for the network.

Because streaming platforms have taken over the world, we now have the luxury of being able to watch anything we want, whenever we want to view it. On the other hand, if Cartoon Network were to go out of business, it would be a catastrophe.

We are happy to inform you that Cartoon Network will not be going off the air in 2022. In point of fact, it couldn’t be further from the truth because the network has great goals along with new ideas for this year.

Warner Bros. would have made a formal announcement on the channel’s closure in the event that it was indeed going to be discontinued; however, this has not been the case.

Sam Register, an American television producer and the president of Warner Bros., offered some insight into the company’s ambitions for the future of Cartoon Network Studios.

According to what he shared with Vulture on May 6, 2022, they are now signing creators to “cross-studio overall deals.” This means that a showrunner on WB Animation is now able to work at CN Studios on something fresh, and vice versa.

How Many Titles Were Removed From HBO Max?

The number of titles being removed from HBO Max this week has increased to 36 and includes 20 of the network’s own creations. Original programming from HBO and Cartoon Network, as well as a few recently acquired titles, round out the list of available titles.

According to Variety, which first reported the news, the transfer is timed to coincide with the major HBO Max-Discovery+ merger scheduled to take place in 2019.

The corporation has been quietly getting rid of titles for weeks in preparation for the merger. During its quarterly earnings call earlier this month, Warner Bros. Discovery announced that beginning September 30, HBO Max will begin airing Discovery+ reality programming from Chip and Joanna Gaines’ Magnolia Network.

“As we work toward bringing our content catalogues together under one platform, we will be making changes to the content offering available on both HBO Max and Discovery+. That will include the removal of some content from both platforms,”

HBO Max is currently giving steep discounts of over 40% on annual membership plans through October 30 as a result of the title removal procedure.
