Douglas Vincent Mastriano (born January 2, 1964) is a far-right American politician and former military officer who has represented the 33rd district in the Pennsylvania Senate since 2019. As a member of the Republican Party, he is the nominee for governor of Pennsylvania in 2022.

Mastriano was born on January 2, 1964, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, to Italian-American parents Richard L. and Janice C. (Bono) Mastriano. Born and raised in Hightstown, New Jersey, he graduated in 1982 from Hightstown High School.
He was a Boy Scouts of America member who attained the rank of Eagle Scout. Afterward, he attended Mercer County Community College, where he joined Psi Beta and Phi Theta Kappa.
Mastriano has stated that he did not grow up in a “strong Christian family,” but was drawn to Christianity as a youngster by a “firebrand youth preacher” who welcomed him to a youth group called “The Way.”
Eastern College awarded Mastriano a bachelor’s degree in history in 1986. He participated in the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps while attending Eastern.
In 1992, Mastriano earned a master’s in strategic intelligence from the Joint Intelligence College. In addition to his undergraduate degree, he earned a master’s degree in airpower theory from the Air University in 2001.
