Bill, who shares a home with Frank, was meant to be portrayed by Con O’Neill. Because of a conflict in his schedule, however, he had to withdraw. Now, Nick Offerman, will portray the part.

In addition, Anna Torv has been cast. According to Variety, she will play Tess, Joel’s co-conspirator before he and Ellie go on their cross-country adventure.

What Will Be the Storyline of  The Last of Us Show?

Will It Adapt Both Games?

The series, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter in early March of 2020, “would cover the events of the original game… with the prospect of additional content based on the planned gaming sequel [The Last of Us 2].”

According to a different article in the same journal, “future seasons” are a distinct possibility, suggesting that this won’t be a short series like Chernobyl, but rather one that would last multiple years. Many players of The Last of Us 2 should be excited to hear that elements of the sequel will be used in the HBO series.
