Who Will Be the Cast in  The Last of Us Show?

Pedro Pascal will play Joel, and Bella Ramsey will play Ellie. Merle Dandridge is also on board, and she’ll be playing the part of Marlene. Since Dandridge also portrayed the part in the video game, this is an extremely unusual casting choice that deserves attention.

Despite what you may have heard, Dandridge isn’t the only game alum in the cast. Soon, you’ll be hearing more from Jeffrey Pierce as he takes over the role of Tommy in the program. Pierce, on the other hand, will portray a new regular character named Perry, who is characterized as “a rebel in a quarantine zone.”

Frank, a minor character Ellie and Joel meet in Lincoln, Massachusetts, will be portrayed by Murray Bartlett. He used to work with Joel and now he lives in a ghost town by himself.

Bill, who shares a home with Frank, was meant to be portrayed by Con O’Neill. Because of a conflict in his schedule, however, he had to withdraw. Now, Nick Offerman, will portray the part.

In addition, Anna Torv has been cast. According to Variety, she will play Tess, Joel’s co-conspirator before he and Ellie go on their cross-country adventure.

What Will Be the Storyline of  The Last of Us Show?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the program will be based on the happenings of the first game, but there is a possibility that it may also have the ability to include aspects of the second game as well.

If you’ve never played The Last of Us, the story follows Joel and Ellie as they work together to make their way across the United States, which has been devastated by a modern fungal plague that infected the majority of the population and turned them into zombie-esque monsters.

The two individuals are looking for a resistance group in order to find a cure for the epidemic; but, as would be expected, things are not quite as straightforward as they appear.

What starts as a small job soon becomes a brutal, heartbreaking journey, as they both must traverse across the U.S. and depend on each other for survival.”

Will It Adapt Both Games?

The series, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter in early March of 2020, “would cover the events of the original game… with the prospect of additional content based on the planned gaming sequel [The Last of Us 2].”

According to a different article in the same journal, “future seasons” are a distinct possibility, suggesting that this won’t be a short series like Chernobyl, but rather one that would last multiple years. Many players of The Last of Us 2 should be excited to hear that elements of the sequel will be used in the HBO series.
