Street Fighter 6: Release Date, Plot, Wiki, And More!!
The Internet hasn’t spent any time spreading the word about the next fighting game Street Fighter 6 since its 2023 release date was announced. Almost seven years since the release of its predecessor, this new mainline installment of the venerable series—which was first announced back in February—is scheduled to be released. Based on what we’ve seen and played so far.

On Which Platforms is Street Fighter 6 Debuting?
Street Fighter 6 will be playable on PS4 and PS5, PC, and this time, Xbox Series X (there doesn’t seem to be a last-gen edition on Xbox), despite Street Fighter 5 being a Sony system exclusive.
Who Are the Roster for Street Fighter 6?
The only characters we have seen in full so far are Ryu, Luke, Jamie, Chun-Li, and Guile, with another newcomer, Kimberly, appearing on a monitor at the end of the clip. So, obviously, we can’t say for sure at this time.
There are, however, a total of 22 characters on their way to Street Fighter 6 at some point, if the Street Fighter 6 leaked roster is to be believed. Whether these are all intended for the launch lineup, however, is another question.

What is the Plot of Street Fighter 6?
The events of Street Fighter 3: Third Strike from 1999 have finally been moved beyond the canonical plot after almost 25 years. Due to the absence of M. Bison, Shadaloo, and fighting-related motivations for characters like Guile and Chun Li, new interpretations of well-known characters should be expected going ahead.

With hints at both Hugo and Gill in the unveiling trailer, it’s also very probable that many of the rosters of misfits from Street Fighter III will make a return.
Which Street Fighter 6 Game Modes Are There?
Since there is only one brief video of the “Battle Hub,” everything is inferred from the scant amount of available information. Nevertheless, it seems to be a sort of online lobby where you can roam while using what seems to be a unique avatar, sitting down at arcade games, and demanding other players to match.
If so, it resembles the lobby scenes in Arc Systemworks games, albeit there are a few more details that stand out. Are those vintage Capcom fighting games on some of the cabinets? Can you play them? There will undoubtedly be more details in the upcoming months.
There is the World Tour mode last, which is the most intriguing. This appears to be an open-world center modeled after Metro City, the scene for the arcade classic Final Fight, where you may interact with locals, meet characters from Street Fighter and its wider universe, and engage in brawls with them.
Again, not much is known about this mode at the moment, although Capcom calls it an “immersive single player mode” and it looks very different from anything in prior Street Fighter games. It also seems to have a custom character, however, it’s unclear if this is the same character you use in the Battle Hub.
