Will Ms. Marvel Return for Season 2? What the Cast Said About Season 2?

Ms. Marvel Return

After Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox in 2019, Marvel Studios reclaimed the rights to both the X-Men and the Fantastic Four; however, it appeared that the characters’ return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe was still a ways off.

Since then, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has given a number of references to the mutants; the most recent of these references being Patrick Stewart’s return as Professor X in the episode of Doctor Strange titled “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.”

However, since this took place on a different version of Earth, it was unknown whether or not the X-Men would make an appearance in the multiverse that the Marvel Cinematic Universe takes place in. That is until Ms. Marvel made her appearance and confirmed the return of the characters.

What the Cast Said About Ms. Marvel Season 2?

Season 2 of Ms. Marvel is looking promising, according to the cast and crew. Aramis Knight, who starred in Kareem, informed us that he was eager to reprise his role. Mid-season junket: “I’d love to do that,” he added. “In my opinion, Kareem has a bright future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

I’m excited to see what you guys come up with, and I hope we can do more in the future. I’m hoping for a second season. I believe we have a decent chance of winning.”

In addition, Total Film asked Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, the director of episodes 4 and 5, if she would be interested in returning if the show were to be revived. I’d want to be a part of Kamala Khan’s story-telling team, she said. “In my opinion, she’s destined for the big screen, and she’ll have more chances to be a part of that story in the future.

In addition, being a part of the original team that built this world was a genuinely unique experience for me. To me, it’s a hope that we’ve brought her to life for everyone else in the world, and given her a position in the MCU.”

Will Ms. Marvel Return for Season 2?

The tale of Kamala is more like that of WandaVision, in that we know we’ll see her in an MCU film soon, than that of Loki, Hawkeye, or Moon Knight, because we have no idea when or where we’ll see them next.

We don’t know yet if Kamala’s arc will continue in the movies or on Disney+, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens. In contrast, Disney+’s description of Ms. Marvel Episode 6 refers to it as “Season Finale” rather than “Series Finale.”

In the Season 1 finale’s post-credits scene, we saw Kamala returning to her bedroom. Her bangle suddenly began to glow, and she found herself in the place of Carol Danvers! Kamala is nowhere to be found, and we don’t know how Carol managed to trade places with her,  but the episode is clearly heading into The Marvels, so we’ll have to wait until July 2023 for answers.

Season 2 of Ms. Marvel is unlikely to debut until 2023, and then only after the events of The Marvels, which will have a significant impact on Kamala’s journey.

What Could Happen in Season 2?

As the show is not renewed for a second season, we don’t know for sure what the storyline will be.

Although the first season ended on a cliffhanger, it’s not impossible that the second season might follow up on some of the storylines that were left hanging, such as what would become of Kamran, their continued battle with Damage Control, and Kamala’s mutation. We finally have mutants in the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

The second season of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is likely to be affected by the events of the 2023 sequel to Captain Marvel starring Brie Larson’s character, Kamala Khan, as Captain Marvel herself made a cameo appearance in the end credits scene.
