What Is Likely to Happen in Season 2?
“Asobi Asobase” shares some similarities with “YuruYuri.” They were three high school students who created a club to have fun at school: Hanako, Olivia, and Kasumi.
Olivia, a new student at the school where the show is centered, is the show’s protagonist. Due to her limited command of the English language, Olivia has a difficult time integrating into society and making friends. One day, she and Hanako Honda play a game of “look the other way” at the break, and the two rapidly become engrossed in their activity.
However, Kasumi Nomura, their next-door neighbor, is enraged by their boisterous antics and takes to the streets to confront them. Because she is the cynical loner and bitter loser that she is, Kasumi politely declines Olivia and Hanako’s request to join them.
However, after some convincing, Kasumi agrees to join in on the fun with Olivia and Hanako.
The Pastime Club was born out of the tight bonds formed by these three females after this tragedy. Because of their frequent misadventures together, the unusual trio rapidly forms a deep bond in the Pastime Club, which exists solely for their amusement.
It is thus that Olivia, Hanako, and Kasumi’s Pastime Club activities, which range from learning English to fawning over each other to plotting their own schemes to become renowned at school, are the focus of the show. But it will be intriguing to watch where the tale goes in the following season.
