What Did She Say About Having a Second Child?

When recently questioned by E! News regarding her plans for a second child, she responded as follows: “I’m in Vegas. In addition, I am unable to perform that show if I have anything in my stomach. Especially a living human being.”

Katy hasn’t been shy about admitting how challenging it is for her to juggle her job and family responsibilities. Katy revealed that taking care of her infant as well as the obligations of her business had taken her off guard during a previous visit that she made on Live with Kelly and Ryan at the beginning of 2021.

She added at the time, “We started filming American Idol season four after I’d given baby, five weeks later,” and she was referring to the period of time after she had given child. “And I had no intention of doing it. On the other hand, I was like, “Oh, my God!” You are probably aware of how intense it was.”

She went on to say that “Having a baby, then immediately going back to work and continuing to breastfeed, like, holy crap! Is this what males expect women to do? Oh my goodness!”

After four and a half years of dating and over a year after getting engaged, Katy and Orlando became parents for the first time in August of 2020. In addition, Orlando is a parent to his son Flynn, who is currently 11 years old and whom he shares with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr.

Katy has stated that being a mother was the “greatest decision” she has ever made, and while the pair does not currently have any plans for another child, this does not mean that it is completely out of the question.

She had previously stated, During a previous appearance on Jimmy Kimmel, she said, “It’s the best decision I’ve ever made in my entire life. [Orlando] was such great support. We had, like, a little boom box. He was there, and he was so wonderful and just holding my hand and looking into my eyes.”

She went on to say, “He’s been amazing, incredible, and we’re so in love and we’re so grateful.”

Someone wrote: “I hope so too but let’s not assume anything. Imagine people saying you look pregnant when you’re not…”  The fan captioned the video, which was filmed on March 3rd, “I think she’s pregnant,” generating a flurry of responses on Twitter.

In response to Katy’s “may be pregnant” speculation, one fan apologized to the singer and called out others for body-shaming her.

“@katyperry if you see this I apologize for wondering if you were pregnant. I didn’t say you were but seeing you touch your belly gave me some doubts. But the others told me that you do this all the time, so there you go, I’m sorry and I love you,” she wrote.
