Bell’s 1966 Ford Mustang collided head-on with a car driven by a man who had fallen asleep at the wheel. Bell received significant injuries, a fractured neck and skull, and numerous lost teeth. He endured surgery, 70 face sutures, and had to have his jaw broken shut for two months.
Bell was pulled over at 2:45 a.m. in Glendale, California, in December 2015 after officers saw him swerving and speeding. In 2016, he was found guilty and sentenced to four days in prison and four years’ probation. His sentence was merely one day and he completed an alcohol education course.
