The Terminal List Season 2 Release Date: What Could Happen in Season 2?
The spy thriller The Terminal List made its premiere on Amazon Prime Video on July 1, bringing with it additional action from the world of espionage. The action-packed thriller is an adaptation of the novel of the same name.
It stars Chris Pratt, who plays James Reese, the lone survivor of a Navy SEAL operation who returns home after an ambush claims the lives of his entire squad. In the end, James is able to unearth a sinister network of forces and so-called allies that are conspiring against him and putting the safety of his loved ones in jeopardy.
There is little doubt that The Terminal List has more than enough bloodshed and gunplay to keep it going for a single season, but there is the possibility that there will be a sequel in the future.
Which Cast Members Could Return in Season 2?
James Reece is able to complete the perilous missions he is assigned to with the assistance of a large number of allies located in various parts of the world. These allies include current and former Navy SEAL teammates, Veteran pals, and other individuals.
Despite the fact that Kitsch, Keough, Mertz, Courtney, and Tripplehorn, among others, are highly unlikely to return as a result of the events that transpired in the first season of The Terminal List, there are still friends in waiting who may be able to assist.
These include Liz Riley from Tyner Rushing, Katie Buranek from Hustler star Constance Wu, Tony Layun from JD Pardo, and Mac Wilson from Christina Vidal. If True Believer is up next, then casting for Mohammed “Mo” Farooq, the main antagonist, as well as Raife Hastings and the unknown operator Freddy, will be a major role.
- Chris Pratt as Commander James Reece
- Taylor Kitsch as Ben Edwards
- Patrick Schwarzenegger as Donny Mitchell
- Constance Wu as Katie Buranek
- Jeanne Tripplehorn as Lorraine Hartley
- Riley Keough as Lauren Reece
- LaMonica Garrett as Commander Fox
- Alexis Louder as Nicole Deptul
What Could Happen in Season 2?
In the James Reece series, The Terminal List is based on one of the five books. Aside from True Believer, Savage Son, The Devil’s Hand and In the Blood, Carr has authored four more books after his debut release in 2018. (2022). True Believer is the most likely sequel if the show is renewed for a second season.
After the events of The Terminal List, Reece’s story continues in the sequel novel. Following his arrest as an American domestic terrorist, Reece makes his way to Mozambique to seek refuge with the family of a fallen friend.
Unprecedented acts of terrorism rock the world, all orchestrated by a former Iraqi commando operating in the shadows of Europe. Reece is tasked by the government with identifying and handing over the Iraqi operator in exchange for immunity, which puts him on a global warpath.
The Terminal List Season 2: Release Date
The Terminal List’s second season has yet to be confirmed by Prime Video, but it seems like everyone involved is hoping for it to happen. Screen Rant chatted with Jack Carr, Dave DiGilio, and Antoine Fuqua ahead of the debut to discuss the future of the series and what it could look like.
According to DiGilio, “Fingers crossed” for another season. “That’s what we’re aiming for,” Fuqua said. “We certainly had that larger picture in mind when we started out. As a result, “Amazon will do it again if we are blessed and successful.”
Carr quipped, “I don’t know what their problem is.” Amazon has yet to make a final decision on Season 2, but that doesn’t mean preparations haven’t begun. “Each season” has a “roadmap,” according to DiGilio’s statement. Season 2 and beyond are possible because “each” is used, which implies that the series can go on for years.
Since the show is based on the first book in a five-book series, it makes sense. The Terminal List has the potential to run for at least five seasons if it is a commercial success.
Writing, shooting, editing, and releasing a complete season of a newly renewed show typically takes a year or more.
The second season of The Terminal List could contain a wide range of international settings and complex action sequences, which could necessitate a longer production time than a show that is primarily produced in front of a green screen.
It is expected that the second season of Amazon Prime’s The Terminal List would release in late 2023.
