The historical romance titled “La templanza” was written by Susana Lopez Rubio and Javier Holgado, who also directed the film. The story takes place in Spain in the late 1800s.
It gets its name from a historical novel written by Maria Dueas that bears the same title. After suffering a complete financial collapse, Mauro decides to go to Cuba and Spain in quest of employment opportunities.
Together, he and Soledad Montalvo, who is played by Leonor Watling and is the wife of a Londoner wine trader, build a life that they had never thought was possible for them before they met. After the conclusion of the first season, we cannot wait to find out what the show has in store for us in the following episodes.
Without further ado, here is everything that we currently know about the upcoming second season of The Vineyard or “La templanza”!
Will There Be a Season 2 of The Vineyard?
The first season of La Templanza, popularly known as The Vineyard, was made available to stream on Amazon Prime Video on March 26, 2021.
There were ten episodes total in the season, and each one lasts for close to an hour on average. The first season of “La Templanza” comes to an end when Soledad finally buys the winery that has been in his family for many generations.
As Mauro and Soledad stand at the edge of the void, they have a conversation about the immensity of the universe. According to what has been revealed thus far, the storyline of the series appears to have reached what appears to be a happy and satisfying finish.
This film, which is an adaptation of Maria Dueas’ third novel, is absolutely essential viewing. Atresmedia Studios went with this option in order to make ‘La templanza’ more accessible to a wider audience on Amazon Prime. There is currently no information available to indicate whether or not the show will be returning in the near future.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, it would be extremely difficult to produce another season of the show within a reasonable amount of time. If the current season of Vineyard is picked up by the network, then we may anticipate the premiere of the show’s second season to take place in March of 2023.

What Is the Series About?
The events of the story take place in the 1860s and take place in a number of various locations, including London, Cuba, Cadiz, and Mexico. Mauro Larrea, falls in love with Soledad Montalvo. Soledad comes from a distinguished winemaking family in Jerez, and their love story serves as the basis for the plot.
The first time we see Soledad Montalvo, she is a young woman with a fiery temperament – despite her brothers’ cautions about how their grandfather would react, she helps stomp the grapes from their family’s vineyard and tends to meddle where she shouldn’t.
Edward Claydon, a snooty British wine merchant, initially develops feelings for Sol’s older sister Inés, but after a fortuitous encounter, he changes his focus to Sol, and the two are married soon after their arrival.
As a result, Mauro Larrea, a young father who has recently lost his wife, is forced to care for his small children by himself. It took him some time before he struck gold (or silver) in Mexico, but he eventually made his money and left Spain after nearly losing everything.
After 20 years apart, we reunite with Soledad and Mauro to see how their lives have changed. Soledad has three daughters and learns that her family’s vineyard is in danger, while Mauro has lost everything after a business venture goes horribly wrong. It’s possible that this is the beginning of our two leads forming a relationship.
