Lil Durk, whose real name is Derrick Banks but performs under the stage name Lil Durk, is a member of the American hip-hop group Lil Durk. Durk Lyricist Lil Durk is also a member of Lil Durk. Only the Family is a rap group from Chicago, and Lil Durk is the group’s creator as well as its primary member.
Early Life
His birthday is October 19th, 1992, and he was born in Chicago, Illinois. Lil Durk, also known as Durk D. Banks, spent his formative years in the rough community of Englewood, located on the South Side of Chicago. When Durk was just seven months old, his father was sentenced to time behind bars. For his second studio album Lil Durk 2x in 2016, Lil Durk 2x climbed on the US Rap Chart, and the Billboard 200 Chart, respectively. Meek Mill, French Montana, Travi$ Scott, will .i.a, Young Thug, Boosie Badass,z, and RiFF RaFF are just a few of the musicians Lil Durk has collaborated with. He was a finalist for the 2016 Grammy Award for Best Rapper.

Personal Life
Lil Durk is a devout follower of Islam. Dontay Banks Sr., the father of Lil’ Durks, was sentenced to two life terms without parole. The specifics of the case were never made public. His six offspring, all born to separate women, are the result of his marriage to each of them. Angelo, Bella, Zayden, Du’mier, Skylar, and Willow are the names of his children.
Tragedies
Rapper McArthur “OFT Nunu” Swindle, who was related to Durk, was gunned down and killed. Uchenna OTF Chino Dolla Agina, a close friend of Durk’s who also served as his manager, was murdered in March of the following year (2015). In Atlanta on November 6, 2020, a close buddy of Lil Durk’s named King Von was also gunned down and killed.
Dontay “DThang” Banks Jr., Durk’s brother, was tragically assassinated on June 6, 2021, while attending a nightclub in the city of Chicago. In July of 2021, Durk was a victim of a break-at that occurred in his home. Following an exchange of gunfire between him and his fiancee and the suspects, the latter ran away from the scene. To everyone’s great fortune, nobody got wounded.
