Since Death Parade introduced us to the games of the afterlife more than seven years ago, we’ve learned a lot. Anime fans were surprised when Madhouse published the series in 2015, and it quickly became a popular series.
Death Parade’s cult following grew to such an extent that Madhouse was forced to deal with the overwhelming demand for a second season. Season 2 has been promised, despite the studio’s reputation for producing one-season anime programs.
What happened to the follow-up season that was promised? It hasn’t shown up yet, has it? We’ll find out.
Who Will Return in the Upcoming Season?
Death Parade Season 2 is expected to feature the following artists:
- Decim voiced by Alex Organ
- Black-Haired Woman voiced by Jamie Marchi
- Nona voiced by Jad Saxton
- Quin voiced by Anastasia Munoz
- Ginti voiced by Robert McCollum
- Clavis voiced by Zach Bolton
- Castra voiced by Morgan Lauré Garrett
- Oculus voiced by Jeremy Schwartz
What Will Be the Storyline of Season 2?
A mysterious pub called Quindesim and its bartender Decim, who also happens to be a soul mediator, are central to the story, as is Quindesim’s bartender Quindesim. The premise of Death Parade differs from that of other anime in that when someone dies, he is sent to the afterlife.
When it comes to imagination, we’re free to believe whatever we choose to believe. In this odd pub, the bartender doubles as the only mediator. It’s a game that all deceased souls take part in, and the winner goes on to reincarnate, while the losers go to hell.
Before Decim may assess their souls, those who have been sent to his tavern must compete in the Death Games alongside him. However, Decim, a veteran in the field, is a firm believer in Quindesim’s ability to help those in need.
In the final episode of the previous season, Chiyuki was reincarnated and Decim’s role as an arbitrator continued.
New-season could center on Decim’s history, the changes in his role as an arbiter due to his human feelings, or Chiyuki’s return to the afterlife following her death in her new existence, according to some ideas. A second season of the show would be interesting to see what direction it takes.
Consequently, it appears like Season 2 has been postponed. Alternatively, the show may already be in production and will be released soon.
Death Parade Season 2: Release Date
The Death Parade season 2 hasn’t been updated in a while, and its release date is still a mystery. On the bright side, Madhouse hasn’t announced that the beloved anime series would be canceled either, so fans may keep their hopes up!
Death Parade, or Desu Paredo, is based on Yuzuru Tachikawa’s short film Death Billiards. From January to March of this year, the anime series broadcast a total of 12 episodes. In the eyes of many, Death Parade’s success was not surprising, considering Madhouse is known for producing anime hits such as Death Note and One Punch Man.
After the success of Death Parade, Madhouse has planned a second season for the anime in 2016. Many hypotheses have been put forth as to why season 2 hasn’t been released yet.
The paucity of content for season 2 could be a problem for Madhouse. Death Parade, unlike other anime series, is based only on a short film produced by Tachikawa. In order to continue the story after the first season’s conclusion, they’d have to come up with a brand new storyline, since there isn’t any existing source material.
If confirmed we can expect it to arrive in mid-2023.

Review of Death Parade Season 1
Because the Death Parade is so complicated, it’s a big draw for fans. As depicted by the show’s story, characters, and mysteries, human nature is examined in depth.
a show on life and death is a reflection of human curiosity. In the anime, these themes were well integrated with mortal ones such as revenge, love, and friendship.
It’s a well-written show that will appeal to individuals with a strong sense of humor as well as others who prefer their comedies to be more serene. Many viewers are pleading with the show’s creators for another season.
