As the Star Wars universe continues to expand, Ahsoka Tano is getting her own Disney+ series.
A female-centric Star Wars series has been confirmed following the live-action premiere of the character in season two of The Mandalorian. During the animated series Clone Wars, she became a fan favorite.

When will Ahsoka be released?
In October, it was announced that production for Ahsoka will begin in early 2022.
Disney+ has now officially confirmed that production began on May 9, 2022, putting an end to earlier rumors that it would begin in March or April of next year.
The official Twitter account of the streaming platform released an image of the director’s chair on site with the caption: “Ahsoka, an Original series, starts production today #DisneyPlus.”
It is unlikely that we will see the new series until at least late 2022, given that CGI and special effects will need to be added in post-production.

To keep us entertained, there’s no shortage of Star Wars material to choose from. Additionally, there will be a third season of The Mandalorian. Both are scheduled for release in 2022 as well.
Who Will Be in the Cast of Ahsoka?
For this new series, Rosario Dawson will reprise her role as Ahsoka Tano, taking over from Ashley Eckstein, who had previously voiced the character in The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels.
It was confirmed in October 2021 that Hayden Christensen will join her, resuming the role of Anakin Skywalker, who is expected to appear either in flashback or as a force ghost.
Star Wars Rebels actress Natasha Liu Bordizzo (The Society) was cast as Sabine Wren in November of 2021 as a lead character in a new TV series.
It was originally hinted that Sabine, a Mandalorian graffiti artist, would be accompanying Ahsoka on her journeys.
Ivanna Sakhno has also been cast, as reported by Deadline, as a freshly developed character.
Some fans have suggested Benedict Cumberbatch for the role of Admiral Thrawn, but he strongly rejected the idea in an interview with Collider earlier this year.
Additionally, Disney has stated that the upcoming series Rangers of the New Republic will cross over with Ahsoka, which is expected to follow X-Wing pilots patrolling the galaxy in an attempt to halt the resurgent Imperial forces.

What Will Be the Storyline of Ahsoka?
It had been a long time coming, but Filoni was thrilled to finally put the story of Ahsoka Tano down on paper.
Filoni told Empire, “It’s thrilling, I gotta tell you, It’s something you imagine doing for a long time. And then it’s kind of startling when you’re sitting there, and now you have to do it.
I thought of this adventure for Ahsoka for a long time, and it’s interesting to see how it’s evolved.
“Years ago, I never would have imagined that it was sprung from a branch of a tree that had anything to do with a guy [like] Din Djarin, or a child that looks like Yoda. It’s a great lesson for me on how, when you have other creatives like Jon Favreau, they can help lend such dimension and depth to what you’re doing.”
Only that it will take place “within the timeline of The Mandalorian” has been revealed about Ahsoka and her story.
“There’s a lot of uncertainty about who she wants to be, what she’s capable of, and how her life has been steered up to this point. I believe I’ve taken that a step farther now.. Because of everything she’s been through and seen, this character appears worn out and jaded. She’s lived through so much.”
“She’s suffered enormously. She was forced to leave the Order and has only recently begun to find her way, “Dawson wholeheartedly concurred.
The idea of a live-action Rebels sequel has been discussed previously. However, Filoni even alluded to the show’s finale in his defense. “Filoni reaffirmed”.
“There’s no better way to send out two of my favorite characters than to have them ride off into the sunset, as I’ve seen so many cowboys or Indiana Jones do over the years. The story continues as one thing finishes and another begins. That’s an epic tale.”

When Ezra was seemingly dragged into a wormhole following his battle with Thrawn, Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren set out to find him in the final moments of Star Wars: Rebels.
On the other hand, the creators of Star Wars have enormous plans for Grand Admiral Thrawn, who will appear not only in The Mandalorian series but also in The Book of Boba Fett and other Disney+ shows set during that time period. They want him to be a tremendous villain in the finest Thanos style.
