Fritz Hager and Leah Marlene were two of this year’s standout candidates.

Fritz Hager Not Included in Top 3
Fritz Hager was the latest American Idol competitor to be booted from the show on Sunday, May 15th. Even if he had a large following, he was doomed. After all, he was expected to win Season 20, but that didn’t put him in the Top 3. His heartfelt performances won over both the audience and the panel of judges.
Some of Hager’s music was even performed by him. In spite of this, Fritz Nation did not give him a majority of the vote. After seeing his journey on American Idol, the fans came up with the name. They’ve already bought Hager’s music and shown their support.
Earlier this year, Hager released his self-titled EP. In part, the success of this album can be attributed to the support it has received from fans. Hager took to social media to express his gratitude. Because of his music, he couldn’t believe what was happening to him.
Even without American Idol, it’s already a raging inferno. His album peaked at No. 3 on the iTunes chart with a song from that album. On Sunday night, Hager was the one who had to leave. The participant who hugged Leah Marlene and sparked dating rumors did so out of emotion.
One hug was all it took for them to be smitten with one another. HunterGirl and Noah Thompson joined Leah in the Top 3 on Season 20 of American Idol. Nicolina Bozzo and Hager were both ejected from the competition. It was expected that Bozzo would win the competition.

Fritz Hager and Leah Marlene’s American Idol season 20 travels have brought them closer together. After Fritz was eliminated from the final three and Leah was able to advance, Leah collapsed to the ground and hugged Fritz.
Rumors have circulated that these two are dating, and Fritz put them to rest on May 15.
“Oh, no. No. She’s like my sister. She’s great,” Fritz told reporters. “We’ve been in this competition together, working together since Hollywood Week, and to get this far with her is special.”
When he revealed what he said to Leah during their stage hug, the singer broke down in tears. Fritz was overcome with emotion as he spoke about Leah and how proud he was of her. “I told her I love her [and] that I’m proud of her. I am so excited to see what’s next from her. I really believe in her. I think she could go all the way. Anyone that voted for me this week needs to vote for Leah.”
In a post-show interview, Leah said:
“We have been in this from the beginning. He was my duet partner in Hollywood Week, and he’s one of my best friends in the whole wide world. I want nothing but the universe for that man. It’s really bittersweet having to get split up, but that’s the nature of the show so I think we were just both so proud of each other and screaming that to each other.”
