Classroom of the Elite began as a series of light novels that were published between 2015 and 2019, but it is now a manga series that is still in production, as well as a light novel sequel series that is also in production; both have been written by the series’ creator, Shgo Kinugasa, and are available on Amazon.
It is told from the point of view of Kiyotaka Ayanokji, a modest and unassuming young man who, after meeting Suzune Horikita and Kikyo Kushida, becomes embroiled in a number of affairs. Release Date for the Second Season of Classroom of the Elite
At the moment, Classroom of the Elite is comprised of a single anime season, which aired from July 12, 2017, to September 27, 2017, and consisted of a total of 12 episodes. The anime season ran from July 12, 2017, to September 27, 2017.
These episodes adapted the first three volumes of the light novel series, which accounts for slightly less than a quarter of the entire number of volumes in the original light novel series’ run.
As the original series was published in 14 volumes, and the sequel is presently on 6 volumes, there is more than enough material to adapt, which gave supporters hope that a second season would be announced soon after the conclusion of the first season. However, no such announcement has been made. However, this was not exactly the case.
For example, Classroom of the Elite was never as popular as shows like My Hero Academia or Attack on Titan, which aired around the same period as Classroom of the Elite. Despite the fact that the series had a limited following, the fans were extremely loyal, which is why the producers were so slow to announce any intentions for additional seasons of the show.
Although it took nearly five years after the first season finished before it was officially revealed that Classroom of the Elite would be returning for a second season, fans of the show were overjoyed to learn this news in February 2022. Even though the news came as a complete surprise to everyone, it just served to make the entire experience that much more enjoyable and memorable.
Although it appears that the confirmation was only a brief notice, it disclosed absolutely nothing, other than the fact that a special live event dedicated to the series would air on March 6, 2022, which was the date of the announcement. The show will unveil additional information about the new season in the following weeks.
As previously said, a great deal of new material was disclosed during the live presentation. However, in addition to receiving confirmation that the second season of Classroom of the Elite will premiere in July 2022, which was exactly what we had hoped for, we also received some extra exciting news. To be specific, the third season of Classroom of the Elite is also in the works, with a planned release date of 2023.
When Will Classroom of the Elite Season 2 Be Released in Dub?
The first season of Classroom of the Elite was initially simuldubbed by Funimation and shown alongside the original Japanese version of the show on Japanese television stations. While we haven’t received official confirmation of this, there’s nothing to suggest that Classroom of the Elite won’t be simuldubbed by Funimation once more and that you won’t be able to watch the dubbed version of the show alongside the original Japanese version of the show in the near future.
A Trailer for the Second Season of “Classroom of the Elite”
When we first published about the second season of Classroom of the Elite, there was no trailer to accompany the article. To be honest, the only item we had was an official illustration by Shunsaku Tomose, who was also the original illustrator of the light novel series, which is shown below:
Even though it was still too early for a proper trailer to be released at that time, due to the fact that the March 2022 event confirmed a lot of new information about the season’s release, we were also given an opportunity to see a trailer for the upcoming season, which you can see for yourself here:
Where Can I See the Second Season of Classroom of the Elite?
Crunchyroll and Funimation both streamed the first season of the show in subbed format (in dubbed format). There is no question that these two services will give the second season to their viewers as well since they typically stream anime. We’re not sure if the dub will be released at the same time as the original, but we have a feeling it will.
Is There Going to be the Third Season of Classroom of the Elite?
This time around, we don’t have to speculate because we know that Classroom of the Elite is receiving a third season. At the special event dedicated to the series in 2022, the information was confirmed, along with the news that the show would be having a second season. If there are no delays, Classroom of the Elite will have at least one more season premiere in 2023, if not sooner.
