Parasyte was written and drawn by Hitoshi Iwaaki between 1988 and 1995 for Kodansha’s Morning Open Zkan and Monthly Afternoon magazines. After Tokyopop and Del Rey, the manga was eventually released by Kodansha USA in North America.
In 2014 and 2015, two live-action films based on manga were released in Japan. Madhouse aired an animated television series adaptation of Parasyte -the maxim- in Japan in October 2014 and March 2015. Toonami’s Toonami English dub aired on Adult Swim’s Toonami television show in the United States from October 2015 to April 2016.
Recap of Parasyte: The Maxim Season 1
Parasyte the maxim’s first season centers on an adolescent boy named Izumi Shinichi who prefers a low-key existence. Since he lives in a relatively safe neighborhood, he’s not likely to get into any trouble. Alien parasites invade human bodies and take over the minds of their hosts in this sci-fi tale.
Shinichi is the series’ central character, and the series’ central plot revolved around his war with the extraterrestrial beings. The combination of fantasy and passion made the show even more spectacular to watch.
These parasites, which resemble microscopic worms, are perfectly safe in their normal state. However, those parasites could be exceedingly harmful if they enter the brain by the nose or ear. Shinichi initially does not notice anything amiss with his right hand.
He soon discovers that his right hand is no longer within his control because of the parasite that has inhabited it. When Shinichi discovers that removing the parasite’s heart from the recipient is the only way to destroy it, he has no alternative but to work with the parasite.
As part of their deal, the parasite agrees to help Izumi fight other parasites around the world in exchange for living in his body as a host, which they promptly agree to. As a result, the two become an unexpected ally, and Izumi is elevated to the status of humanity’s last hope in the struggle against the aliens.
We’ll see how everything comes together in the end, with Shinichi gazing up at the blue skies and smiling broadly, signifying that it’s a happy ending after all.
Parasyte the Maxim Season 2: Release Date
Parasyte Season 2 may never be resurrected because the manga’s publishing was discontinued in 1995. But obtaining the second season is only conceivable if Netflix renews for a profit the first season of the show. With any luck, fans will be able to see the movie in theatres sometime in the second half of 2022.
The anime finished where the manga left off, and the story is now over. Due to the lack of sequels in Japanese animation, there doesn’t appear to be a second season.
Who will return in Parasyte the Maxim Season 2?
If season 2 will release, there’s a good probability that new characters will be introduced into the show along with the main cast. The main cast includes :
- Nobunaga Shimazaki as Shinichi Izumi
- Aya Hirano as Migi
- Kana Hanazawa as Satomi Murano
- Atsuko Tanaka as Ryouko Tamiya
- Hiroyuki as Uragami
- Kazuhiko Inoue as Gotou
- Miyuki Sawashiro as Kana Kimishima
What will be the storyline of Parasyte the Maxim Season 2?
It’s difficult to predict what will happen in Parasyte Season 2 because the production company hasn’t confirmed the second season yet. As a result of the happy ending of the first season, there is a slight probability of a second season being made. However many more seasons we have left, the production team is focused on crafting an amazing story.
This is because, like in the previous example, the core component has encompassed the entire manga content. It’s reasonable to assume that, should we ever get our hands on the second season of Parasyte, our hero, Shinichi Izumi, will run against an organization of parasites unlike any other.
