Dexter New Blood Season 2 Release Date: Why did they replace Harrison in Dexter?

When one door closes, another one opens, as the proverb goes. Season one’s finale of Dexter: New Blood appears to have taken that to heart.

For the first time in ten years, the serial killer with a conscience returned to our televisions. Even though Iron Lake was a beautiful place to live, he couldn’t escape the voice of the Dark Passenger in his thoughts.

Throw in the reappearance of your long-lost child, and everything started going haywire almost immediately. The show’s fate may appear sealed, but Dexter has beaten the odds before and may now find a way to continue. Even the higher-ups aren’t sure this narrative is over.

Dexter New Blood Season 2: Release Date

Showtime has yet to confirm whether or not the show will receive a second season. Showtime President of Entertainment Gary Levine said they would wait until the end of the season to discuss the possibility of a second season in an interview prior to the finale.

“Any future discussions of Dexter will have to wait until we complete broadcasting the limited series and see where we are with our narrative and our characters,” he told Deadline. “Dexter was truly planned to have a fitting finish to the series, and I believe we will achieve that in the greatest possible way,” says the show’s producer.

Harrison killed Dexter at the end of the episode, which aired until January 9th. While the story’s final conclusion marks the end of Harrison’s arc, it also provides an opportunity for him to grow as a character.

In order for the show to continue, Showtime must make a decision. Creator and showrunner Clyde Phillips, on the other hand, has already endorsed the notion.

He explained to the deadline: “This show is a huge asset, When people start bingeing this after the finale, I’m confident the numbers will continue to go up. It’s up to Showtime to make the call to me if they want more. If they ask me if I’d like to make a continuation of this, I would say yes. I have a lot of things going on but I would drop everything for this and say yes in one second.”

Who will Return in Dexter New Blood Season 2?

While it’s unlikely that Michael C. Hall will reprise his role after Dexter’s death, we can count on other familiar characters from the first season to return if there is one.

Jack Alcott as Dexter’s son, Harrison Morgan and Julia Jones as Police Chief Angela and Bishop, and Johnny Sequoyah as Audrey Bishop are expected to return. Alano Miller, who played Sergeant Logan in season one, is unlikely to return.

The original cast member Jennifer Carpenter, who played Dexter’s late sister Debra throughout the current season, is likely to be a part of any second season.

What will be the storyline of Dexter New Blood Season 2?

Even if a second season is confirmed, it is still too early to predict what will happen, but Phillips has hinted that a second season will focus on Dexter’s now-grown son Harrison following the death of Dexter in New Blood’s finale.

Harrison is such a difficult character, and he has the seeds of the dark passenger in him, “He told Deadline. ” He’s capable, no doubt about it. Look at Harrison’s last takedown of Dexter; he knows he must kill this man.
