Season one of the supreme work-life balance horror story concluded on April 8 with a bang, and wow, do we have a lot of unanswered questions.
Even with Adam Scott at the helm of an unsettlingly gleaming and sterile future, the Ben-Stiller film has a dark, hidden side that threatens to compromise people’s livelihoods and personal lives, both at work and at downtime.
With no word on season two, we’re left wondering if we’ll ever have some of our pressing questions answered.

Severance Season 2: Release Date
Officially, Season 2 of Severance has been given the go-ahead.
The second series has yet to get an official release date. February 18th, 2022 through April 8th, 2022 was the start and end of Season 1. For the length of the series, new episodes were released every Friday at 12 a.m.
As a result of this, we believe the second season will be released in early 2023, probably in February to match the release of the first season.
“It’s really exciting to see the response from people who are loving the show – and the level of fan engagement,”. “It has been a long road bringing Severance to television. I first read Dan’s pilot over five years ago. It has always been a multi-season story and I’m really happy we get to continue it. I’m grateful to our partners at Apple TV+ who have been behind it the whole way. Praise Kier!” -Ben Stiller
Who will play who in Severance season 2?
The four original cast members were announced to be returning as part of the show’s renewal announcement.
When Mark’s life was discovered to be significantly more intertwined with that of Ms. Casey, it’s likely that en Lachman will play a more prominent role in the plot coming ahead.
As for Irving’s sweet-natured love interest Burt, Christopher Walken is returning. Whether or not Burt learns anything new since the season one finale is anyone’s guess.
Mrs. Cobel’s as Patricia Arquette and her enforcer Milchek Tramell Tillman will be back.
Will the unanswered questions be addressed in Season 2?
At the end of Season 1 of Severance, there are many unsolved issues, like what exactly Lumon does. It’s been speculated by fans that working at Lumon is equivalent to serving time in prison, with Mark and his colleagues prepared to carry out severance operations as they write the code.
One more notion about the termination procedure was born out of the conclusion of this season. Lumon appears to be capable of far more than just severing the memories of their severed employees, even if the specifics of these operations remain a mystery.
There is some ambiguity around Harmony’s true allegiances beyond this point. However, it is evident that she does not only want to keep things hidden from corporate, but also from Mark and the rest of his team.
Then there’s the bizarre Lumon shrine where she was pictured holding a bracelet with the date 3/17/44 engraved on it, which she owns. As a result, Harmony’s obsession with reintegration may be explained.
Hopefully, Season 2 will shed some light on this mystery—specifically, why there were so many goats in a room.
In season 2, how many episodes will there be?
There were nine episodes in all of Severance’s first season. Since the show has been so well received, it’s too early to tell if the number of episodes will rise or remain the same in season two.
Apple’s original programming often maintains a consistent number of episodes. Mythic Quest, Dickinson, Servant, and Ted Lasso have all remained at the same number of episodes for numerous seasons.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Candace immune to Shen fever?
Some readers have noted that Candace doesn’t seem to be susceptible to fever because she doesn’t have a home. It’s evident to me, particularly those scenes set in Fuzhou, that she has an affection for the city and her family there, in spite of her insistence that “You have to keep going,”
Where to watch Severance season 1?
You’ll need an Apple TV+ membership to watch the first season. Alternatively, it’s available as part of the Apple One subscription package for £4.99/$4.99 a month.
Is Severance made in the future?
A bleak future is not the setting for Apple TV’s Severance, which is a “workplace thriller.” It’s all about today’s world. It is easy to lose context, relevance and even meaning when metaphors are overused or overstated.
